Salah fee revealed

Liverpool will accept £100million for Mohamed Salah this summer, according to reports. Saudi Pro League chief Michael Emenalo revealed last summer that the Egyptian was a top target following a failed bid - but Jurgen Klopp’s exit could now reignite a move.

“Mo Salah, like (Lionel) Messi, (Karim) Benzema, (Cristiano) Ronaldo and the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, these are players that, when there is a sense of availability for them, we are willing to listen,” he said at the time. “But we also understand that Mo is happy where he is at present and in a historic, wonderful club at Liverpool.

“We respect that very much and we don’t want to come across as putting any pressure on him. But if there is any interest to do something, Mo Salah is a player that you want in your league, in any league.”

3AM verdict: Now could be the time for Liverpool to cash in on Salah while demand remains high. This may be a controversial take, but he is a fading force. At 31, the forward is not going to be getting better anytime soon. Sell up, take the £100million, and reinvest into the post-Klopp era. Some may view that figure as getting him on the cheap but few players in their 30s fetch a similar fee.

Arsenal snub

Ivan Toney is more likely to join West Ham United than Arsenal, according to talkSPORT. Reports have linked the 28-year-old - on the brink of an England call-up to the Euros - with a Brentford exit all season.

However, just four goals from 13 Premier League games since returning from a betting suspension have hardly set the world alight. Arsenal need a striker and Toney, who has just over a year left on his contract, was viewed as an option. But the Hammers are named as his most likely destination.

“I’m just not sure Toney’s performances since coming back from his betting ban have really been good enough to warrant a move that he would want,” reporter Alex Crook revealed. “I think he’s far more likely to end up at West Ham than he is an Arsenal or Chelsea to be honest, and they won’t pay him £250,000-a-week.”

3AM verdict: Toney to West Ham makes a lot of sense. Jarrod Bowen has spent most of the campaign up front and, while he continues to excel, the Irons need a natural striker. As for Arsenal, they should be looking for a younger, more clinical striker to take them to the next level.

Bruno drops transfer hint

The Telegraph are reporting that Bruno Guimaraes has bought a £4million plush home in Northumberland - the biggest hint yet about where his future lies. Newcastle United supporters are anxious about where their Brazilian maestro will be playing next season.

The 26-year-old has been a revelation since arriving from Lyon two years ago, striking a unique relationship with Toon supporters. A contract extension in October did little to quash transfer talk as a £100million release clause is understood to be part of the deal.

Whether the Magpies qualify for Europe is also likely to be a deciding factor in Guimaraes’ decision. For now, fans can take solace in the midfielder’s latest multi-million-pound acquisition.

3AM verdict: Newcastle supporters will take every positive news they can get regarding Guimaraes’ future. The form table looks rosy and, should they continue that until the end of the campaign, their midfield maestro will likely be going nowhere. Unless Manchester City or Paris Saint-Germain stump up £100million, that is…
