Arsenal 'talking' to winger gem on Tottenham's shortlist as Leeds United plot blockbuster double transfer raid

Premier League clubs have the opportunity to bring in some signings this summer. It is expected to be another hectic transfer window as teams battle it out for reinforcements. Burnley, Leeds United and Sunderland will be preparing for life in the top flight after their respective promotions from the Championship, whilst Leicester City, Ipswich Town and Southampton dropped back into the Football League.

According to CaughtOffside, Arsenal are ‘talking’ to the representatives of Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane. The Gunners are weighing up a potential swoop for the former Manchester City player. Mikel Arteta’s side finished 2nd in the table behind Liverpool this past season.

Sane, 29, is out of contract at the end of the month and is considering his options. He is due to become a free agent in a matter of weeks and will become available on a free transfer as things stand. Tottenham Hotspur have also been mentioned as potential suitors.

Leeds United eye Gustavo Hamer and Emi Buendia

As per GiveMeSport, Leeds are keen on signing Sheffield United’s Gustavo Hamer and Aston Villa’s Emi Buendia. The Whites are in the hunt for some new faces after winning the second tier title. Daniel Farke could see both Hamer and Buendia as two individuals to inject more quality into his squad.

Hamer, 27, helped the Blades reach the play-off final but they were beaten 2-1 at Wembley by Sunderland. They will now face a battle to keep hold of him. As for Buendia, his situation is up in the air following his recent loan at Bayer Leverkusen and his current club have a decision to make regarding what to do with him next.

The 3AM Verdict: Gustavo Hamer and Emi Buendia would be ideal for Leeds United. Sheffield United are unlikely to keep hold of Hamer and it seems likely that Buendia will be leaving Aston Villa as well so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Whites sign both talents. Daniel Farke’s side need to get their recruitment spot on this summer to avoid a season of struggle in the Premier League. The gap between the top flight and the Championship is getting bigger and bigger by every passing year.

Wolves defender Craig Dawson wanted

Wolves defender Craig Dawson sees his deal expire soon and he is wanted by Wrexham and Derby County, as detailed in a report by The Sun. The centre-back has been on the books at Molineux since 2023. However, he has fallen out of favour since Vitor Pereira’s appointment.

The 35-year-old played 15 times for the Midlands outfit this past term. He has also had spells in the past at Rochdale, Bolton Wanderers, Watford and West Ham. The veteran is now on the radar of some other teams and appears to be a man in-demand.

The 3AM Verdict: This would be an exciting time to join Wrexham for Craig Dawson following their recent promotion to the Championship. He is likely to get plenty of game time at the Racecourse Ground if he moved to Wales. Derby County are also in the frame and John Eustace has done a great job since taking over at Pride Park.
