Another weekend of Premier League action awaits after a busy week for most clubs. Not only did we have the January transfer deadline during mid-week, but we were also treated to a round of top-flight fixtures, and there was no shortage of entertainment.

The train keeps moving, though, and we have even more action this weekend, including a huge clash in the title race, with Arsenal and Liverpool going head-to-head. It's too early for a decider, but that clash could go a long way in establishing a clear title favourite, if Liverpool are not already that. In the meantime, we have rounded up the latest standout transfer lines from around the Premier League.

Romano on Arsenal interest

Arsenal are said to be interested in an Ajax youngster as they begin early planning for the January window. The Gunners were quiet in January, but they will be expected to add significant pieces in the summer.

“It was impossible to sign him in January because of the rules,” Fabrizio Romano has said on his Here We Go podcast. He is 17 years old, and is Jorrel Hato from Ajax. So, it was not a deal for January, but Ajax want to extend his contract as soon as possible, and Arsenal try to understand how is the situation around Jorrel Hato. It was again impossible to make the deal happen in January, but Arsenal are following this boy closely. They believe he is a special talent. We saw Arsenal signing players in the recent years from Ajax.

“They wanted Lisandro Martinez, they signed Jurrien Timber, they have a good connection, and they believe that Hato is a player who could be of interest in the future. So, Arsenal wanted to move for steps for this deal for Hato. At the moment, again, Ajax want to extend his contract, but I think this guy is going to be one to watch very soon.”

Pochettino hint

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has already highlighted one type of player he wants to sign in the summer. He said at his latest press conference: "We work a lot on set-pieces. We have specialists. We are a coaching staff in charge of everything. We have a group of analysts for set-pieces.

"After that, it is about the quality of the player. It is about the takers. We don't have a specialist. Maybe Chilly [Ben Chilwell] is good in the delivery, but we don't have a specialist after that. If you want to be good in set-pieces, we work a lot. But then you need good takers. When you have good takers, and of course, Wolves have good takers, and like Manchester City have, or other clubs."

Caicedo claim

Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson believes his old club dodged a bullet by not signing now Chelsea star Moises Caicedo. The Reds were heavily linked with the midfielder before he joined the Blues on a huge deal.

“On the way that Chelsea are playing, I think Liverpool dodged a bullet not signing Moises Caicedo this summer," Lawrenson told Paddy Power. "Last May/June, Liverpool had no midfield players, and we all wondered what was going to happen.

“It was funny in the match against Chelsea [on Wednesday], watching the Liverpool fans chant about the midfield players they didn’t get. The players Liverpool have signed have contributed in every way – there's goals from them and they’ve settled into a nice three. Even Wataru Endō, who looks a little bit lightweight, has done well. I do believe that has a lot to do with Jürgen Klopp and the way that he manages..
