Saka, Havertz, Martinelli: Arsenal injury news and return dates ahead of PSV Eindhoven showdown
Premier League heavyweights Arsenal will hope to start March in strong fashion after a difficult February which saw the team slip further behind in the title race while also falling short in the Carabao Cup semi-final against Newcastle United.
Realistically speaking, barring a major collapse from Liverpool, the Champions League now represents Arsenal’s only hope of silverware, and fans will be crying out for a huge response when the team travels to the Netherlands to take on Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven.

Arsenal defensive injury woes
Takehiro Tomiyasu - out. The Japan international defender is out for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on his knee. He has posted on social media: "I’ve had a surgery on my knee few days ago. I’ve already started my rehab to do what I love the most again. It has been the toughest period in my career for sure and it carries on a bit more but I won’t give up. Thank you for your support and see you again." Expected return date: 01/08/2025.
Myles Lewis-Skelly - returns: Teenage wonderkid Myles Lewis-Skelly returns to contention after serving his suspension. The 18-year-old starlet has shown great promise this season, but has already picked up two red cards in his first 21 appearances as a professional.

Bukayo Saka - out: Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has been one of the biggest injury blows to the Gunners in the second half of the season. The England international, who has registered nine goals and 13 assists this season, has been missing since late January and still faces another few weeks at least on the sidelines. Arteta commented: He's doing really well; he's feeling better day by day, but we have to respect the healing process... he has a lot of stages to go through in his rehab.” Expected return date: 16/03/25
Gabriel Jesus - out: Brazil international Gabriel Jesus is also unavailable to play after suffering an ACL injury. The ex-Manchester City frontman is out for a long-term basis which means he won’t play again this term. A club statement read earlier this winter: “Further to being substituted during our match with Man United, Gabriel Jesus has received extensive assessments, which have confirmed that he has sustained an injury to the ACL in his left knee.” Expected return date: 22/11/2025.
Kai Havertz - out: Arsenal striker Kai Havertz sustained a costly hamstring injury during a warm weather training camp in Dubai last month. The German international is not expected to return until pre-season. “We were having a great camp in Dubai recharging, training, having some time off and connecting again with nature in a different environment, and then the injury happened in a very unexpected way,” explained a disappointed Mikel Arteta. Expected return date: 21/07/2025
