The 3AddedMinutes take on the latest transfer speculation from across the Premier League.

Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool are reportedly keen on making a move for Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich.

The versatile Germany international is currently in action at Euro 2024 as Julian Nagelsmann’s side look to win a tournament on home soil. Their progress into the knockout stages has already been secured and Kimmich and his team-mates will be rated as one of the favourites to lift the Henri Delaunay Trophy in next month’s final.

However, Kimmich’s future at club level remains unknown and there are five clubs said to be in contention to bring an end to the 29-year-old’s nine-year stay with the Bundesliga giants. Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg has now claimed Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Barcelona are all ‘in consideration’ for Kimmich, who is revealed to be one of the highest earners at Bayern. He’s likely to cost any potential buyer north of £50m.

The 3AM Verdict: There is no surprise Kimmich is being considered by the calibre of clubs named in the update. His versatility, experience and professionalism would all make him a significant signing if a club can persuade Bayern into a sale.

Magpies departure edges closer

The agent of Newcastle United winger Yankuba Minteh has confirmed the Gambia international has agreed terms with one of several clubs that are believed to be chasing his signature.

There have been reports suggesting Newcastle need to sell a player this week to ensure they don’t fall foul of the Premier League’s profit and sustainability regulations and the future of Minteh has come into question in recent weeks after he captured the attention of a number of clubs.

The likes of Borussia Dortmund, Marseille, Lyon and Roma are all said to have monitored the youngster during a season-long loan spell with Dutch giants Feyenoord and Everton are also said to be keen after the Magpies showed an interest in Toffees striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Minteh’s agent Bakary Bojang revealed the 19-year-old is open to leaving St. James’ Park without making a senior appearance for the Magpies if he is offered the right ‘sporting project’ and confirmed talks are ongoing he remains in talks with a number of clubs.

He told Chronicle Live: “It is correct that Newcastle are willing to sell the player if they receive a good offer. From our side if Newcastle wants to sell and the sporting project is good we will definitely look at it. We are in communication with some clubs. I can’t confirm clubs who are in communication with us. We have agreed terms with one of the clubs. So now the rest is with Newcastle.”

The 3AM Verdict: There is a wider conversation to be had over the suitability of the Premier League’s profit and sustainability regulations - but it seems surprising to see the reaction towards Minteh’s possible departure. Although the young winger is talented and has plenty of promise, he is far from proven at Premier League level and there are reports suggesting the Magpies could make around £34m profit for a player they signed for just over £6m last summer. Long-term, we may be proven wrong, but that seems good business to us.

As with a number of clubs in English football’s top tier, the Seagulls are monitoring the progress of a number players at Euro 2024 and have reportedly been impressed with the performances of Turkey international Baris Alper Yilmaz. The Galatasaray star played the entire 90 minutes of his side’s 3-1 win against Georgia and Saturday night’s defeat against Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal. However, it’s his versatility that has impressed Brighton according to the Telegraph after the 24-year-old featured as a forward, full-back and winger at club level last season.

The 3AM Verdict: You do sometimes wonder if Brighton’s interest in any player peaks the attention of rivals clubs. The Seagulls have become masters of bringing in players on cut-price deals, developing them and selling them on for a major profit.
