Carlos Soler has admitted he is unsure if his long-term future lies with West Ham United just months after joining the Hammers on a season-long loan deal.
The former Valencia brought a temporary end to his two-year stay with Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain in the final hours of the summer transfer window and has gone on to make six appearances in all competitions after linking up with the Hammers. However, just one of those appearances has come as part of Julen Lopetegui’s starting eleven and that came in a 5-1 defeat against Liverpool in a Carabao Cup third round tie.

Hide AdSoler has opened up on his early experiences of live with West Ham and admitted he was ‘seduced by the idea of facing this change’ ahead of his move to the London Stadium - but conceded he was unsure what could happen when his loan spell comes to a close next summer.
He told Spanish outlet Marca: “We haven’t talked about objectives. It’s a very new and long-term project. It’s a bit abstract because in football you have to think a lot about the present, get results and play well. But we have a lot of new players, a new coach, a new philosophy… Few clubs manage to get it right from the start. In my case, I’m going to stay for a year, and I don’t know what will happen when the season is over. But I was seduced by the idea of facing this change, fighting every weekend to get into the eleven and West Ham was the best option.”
The 3AM Verdict: This is always the issue with loan deals, there is always a lack of clarity over the long-term future of the player unless there is an agreement written into the original deal. Soler still has plenty to prove to convince West Ham to convert his loan into a permanent move.

Bournemouth have reportedly set their demands for in-form winger Antoine Semenyo.

Hide AdThe former Bristol City man has caught the eye for Andoni Iraola’s men this season and has three goals and one assist in his first eight games of the season. That has led to speculation the likes of Newcastle United, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur were all keen on a move for his services during the January transfer window.
However, Football Insider have claimed it is unlikely Semenyo will move in the first month of the new year and could have to wait until next summer to see if any interested parties make a move. The report also suggests Bournemouth will only allow Semenyo to leave the club if they receive an offer between £40million and £50million.
The 3AM Verdict: There is no doubt Semenyo has shown he can be a real threat throughout the opening two months of the season - but he also has plenty to work on before he should be viewed as a potential signing for a leading light in the Premier League. That said, the reported asking price appears to run in line with the going rate for promising players in the top flight these days.
Foxes legend to make big call
Leicester City star Jamie Vardy is facing a major decision over his future.

Hide AdAt 37, the former England international still remains a constant threat at the top end of the pitch and after scoring in his side’s dramatic 3-2 win at Southampton on Saturday, Vardy has scored three goals in eight appearances in all competitions so far this season. The man who famously made his way through non-league football and the EFL to reach the Premier League has netted 193 goals in 472 appearances for Leicester - but, as it stands, will leave the club when his current contract comes to a close at the end of the season.
Spanish outlet Fichajes have claimed Vardy is facing up to a two options at the end of the campaign - retire with the Foxes and bring down the curtain on a memorable career or accept an offer from a number of clubs in Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
The 3AM Verdict: Vardy truly has enjoyed a remarkable career after working his way into the Premier League via spells with Stocksbridge Park Steels, FC Halifax Town and Fleetwood Town. There isn’t enough romance in football but his career, which has brought England caps, Premier League title and FA Cup Finals wins and Champions League appearances, has provided a large dose of it. There would be something fitting about seeing him retire at the end of a successful time with Leicester.
