The blockbuster £260m triple Arsenal transfer that could see club smash Premier League to pieces next season

Arsenal have fallen short in the race for the Premier League title this season. It has been the familiar old tale for the Gunners under Mikel Arteta so far. It wasn’t Manchester City’s turn to beat them to top spot this term though as Liverpool stormed to the title in Arne Slot’s first campaign after his move from Feyenoord, leaving a crestfallen Arsenal rooted to the spot as the dust billowed around them.
In terms of the Champions League, the London outfit made it all the way to the semi-finals and beat Real Madrid along the way. However, they were dumped out in the final four by PSG over two legs.

Hide AdArteta’s men have now been left to lick their wounds, but what use is moping? The Gunners will look to channel the season disappointment into planning positively for the future, as they look to pick themselves back up and go again.
Arsenal lacked a cutting edge against the Ligue 1 giants and on another night, they could have actually scored another goal or two in the second leg at the Parc de Princes. They have been playing without a recognised striker for a while now after injuries to the likes of Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus, and that has come back to haunt them. There is no doubting that Mikel Merino is a talented player, but he isn’t a forward. Arsenal’s transfer priority heading into the summer should be clear, and the board are ready to finally back Arteta and deliver him the top class striker he’s been dreaming of.
Arsenal eye Alexander Isak deal
Arsenal’s ‘dream’ target is Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak, according to BBC Sport. He won’t come cheap though and they would have to fork out massive money to try and secure his signature. His current club also won’t want to lose him any time soon and will likely demand serious cash if they are to even consider selling.
The Athletic have claimed his price tag is a staggering £150 million - £87m more than the Magpies paid to sign him. If the Gunners are serious of challenging for trophies, then getting him would be the statement of intent that the fans are craving. However, in the times of PSR and FFP, it remains to be seen whether their apparent desires to sign the Sweden international are realistic.

Hide AdIsak, 25, has been with Newcastle since they signed him in 2022 from Real Sociedad and he has adapted to life in England with ease since then. He has been prolific during his days in the North East so far and has fired a whopping 62 goals in 107 games to date, 27 of which have come in this campaign. Spirits on Tyneside are high, after Eddie Howe’s side ended their trophy drought by securing the Carabao Cup last month, after they beat Liverpool in the final at Wembley.
It would take a lot for Isak to consider leaving the Magpies, but one factor that could come into it is whether his club qualify for Champions League football. As things stand, Newcastle are in fourth place - fifth is enough to guarantee a spot in Europe’s elite footballing competition next season, but they could well be pipped to the post by two of the trailing pack of three - Chelsea, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest. Should the Magpies fall at the final hurdle, then it could be game-on for the Gunners in their pursuit of Isak.
Arsenal consider Viktor Gyokeres swoop
Another name in the frame for Arsenal is Sporting Lisbon starlet Viktor Gyokeres, as per The Telegraph. He has been on fire since making the transfer over to Portugal. His current club will face a real battle to retain his services over the coming months amid expected attention from elsewhere.
If the Gunners aren’t able to sign Isak, Gyokeres could be the perfect alternative and probably a fair bit cheaper too, allowing them to spread their summer budget more evenly across the squad. The pair play together for Sweden, who have one of the most lethal attacks on the European international stage right now - they are certainly a country to keep an eye out for as a dark horse ahead of the World Cup in 2026.

Hide Ad90min have claimed that he is valued in excess of £50 million. He has played in England before so may feel that he has a point to prove in the country, especially at the top level. Brighton had him on their books as a youngster but he didn’t break into their starting XI during his time at the AMEX Stadium. Instead, he was loaned out to FC St. Pauli and Swansea City to get some experience under his belt before he really started to make a name for himself at Coventry City.
Coming in potentially £100m cheaper and with a formidable goal-scoring record of his own, there’s a strong argument to be made for signing Gyokeres over Isak. What would really put the cat amongst the pigeons would be signing both, but that would take a big-money departure to go through first.
Arsenal plot Bryan Mbeumo transfer swoop at Brentford
It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Bryan Mbeumo move on from Brentford later this year for a new challenge. It’s fair to say that he’s outgrown the Bees and now is the right time for him to challenge himself at a bigger club. Thomas Frank’s side will make a very hefty profit on him - they signed him for less than £6m back in 2019 - that they can reinvest into their playing squad.
TEAMtalk have claimed that he has emerged on Arsenal’s shortlist. However, they will have to see off competition from rivals like Chelsea and Manchester United to land him. Although he’s not an out and out striker, he has still proved he knows where the back of the net is.

Hide AdThe 25-year-old has scored 18 goals this term and still has three more games left for Brentford to add one or two more to that tally. The Telegraph have suggested that the Bees value him at approximately £60 million. He was spotted back in 2019 playing in Ligue 2 in France for Troyes and moved to London as a youngster.
Mbeumo helped Brentford gain promotion from the Championship in his second year under Frank. He has since adapted with ease to the step up a division. If the Gunners brought him in, he would be perfect competition for Bukayo Saka on the right wing.
Let’s face facts: Arsenal are most likely not going to sign all three of their rumoured elite targets this summer. They may only end up with one. That said, any combination of the trio would take Arsenal’s attack - which has often relied on set-pieces this season - a world class level, and hand Arteta the weapons he needs to cause chaos in the Premier League and Champions League next season.
