The Bundesliga striker outscoring Harry Kane who Mikel Arteta must sign to solve Arsenal's biggest problem
The 2024/25 Premier League season is taking shape, and the results of the summer transfer window are starting to show. Some summer signings have positively impacted their clubs, some have been disappointing, and others haven’t had the chance to prove their worth due to injuries.
At Arsenal, the story is no different. Calafiori has made a positive impact on the team, Raheem Sterling has been disappointing so far, and Mikel Merino is just now finding his feet after joining the club while injured.

Unfortunately, injuries to Martin Ødegaard and Bukayo Saka have left the team struggling for goals. This highlights the need for another consistent source of goals, ideally, a reliable striker.
Mikel Arteta believed that a fully fit Gabriel Jesus would solve this problem, but the Brazilian has repeatedly shown that he cannot be relied on as a consistent goal scorer. Quality strikers are rare in this era of inverted forwards, but Arsenal missed an opportunity when they allowed Serhou Guirassy to join Borussia Dortmund for a modest €27 million after netting 28 goals in 28 Bundesliga games for Stuttgart. They also did not pursue Victor Osimhen, likely due to his high price and wage demands. However, Arsenal has a chance to correct this in the winter transfer window.
Fortunately for them, another striker is emerging, and his price tag has yet to rise significantly. Omar Marmoush, the current top scorer in the German Bundesliga, could be a game-changer for Arsenal. The Egyptian forward is having a breakout season, building on his 18-goal contributions last season—his first at Eintracht Frankfurt.
After seven games in Germany's top division, the leading scorer isn't Harry Kane of Bayern Munich, though the English forward has eight goals. Instead, it is Marmoush, who has scored nine goals and provided four assists in seven games. Two of those goals came against European heavyweights Bayern Munich.

Reports in the media suggest that Liverpool and Manchester United are already keeping an eye on him, with interest also coming from non-Premier League clubs like AC Milan and Atlético Madrid.
The Gunners need to act fast and seize the opportunity to upgrade their attack. One advantage of the 25-year-old Egyptian is his versatility can operate as a left winger, where Arsenal is already seeking an upgrade over Gabriel Martinelli, and he can also play as a number 10 when Ødegaard is unavailable.
