England v USA moments missed: New tifo for Arsenal star, USA fans’ banter, Man Utd scare
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
England laboured to a 0-0 draw with the USA and missed the chance to qualify for the next round of the World Cup on Friday evening. Mason Mount had a shot on target for the Three Lions right at the end of the first half while his Chelsea teammate Christian Pulisic hit the cross and Mark McKenzie saw his shot just go wide.
Southgate’s team looked a different side to the one that beat Iran and they will now have to avoid a disaster against Wales to progress to the next round. Here are some of the moments missed from the game.

Hide AdUSA fans sing it's called soccer
The USA side dominated the game and will feel they should have gotten more than a point. Their fans enjoyed themselves as their side passed the Lions around especially in the first half and sang 'it's called soccer' to hit back at Brits who call it football.

Sweet Caroline
As has come to stay as tradition before every England game, Sweet Caroline was sung through the PA system in the stadium and most fans jammed to it before attention turned to the match. It's really interesting that the English fans have taken to the song and it does bring the best out of the fans when it's played loud just before the players take to the field.
New tifo for the team
There was a tifo displayed and passed around the main stand with Raheem Sterling, Mason Mount, Bukayo Saka and Jack Grealish all on it. England have always made their players feel special and this was another example of how far the fans go to try and show that they are always there for the team. The Tifo looked great from the media stand and it will be quite interesting to see as England go deep into the competition what kind of things they bring.
Pulisic and Mount catch
Both Public and Mason mount enjoyed decent games and Chelsea players had time for one last catch up when the final whistle was blown. Not that it’s been long since they last met but it was quite nice to see two Chelsea players fight for their countries and immediately get along after the final whistle like that.

Hide AdMaguire injury scare
Harry Maguire enjoyed another good display for England at the back and there was a moment where hearts would have been in mouths when he made a slide tackle and then held his thigh as if to say he had picked up an injury. He’s always been a very important part of Southgate’s team so that little moment had the bench and some of the fans worried.
