Arsenal will be desperate to return to winning ways this weekend when they face Crystal Palace in the Premier League's Saturday lunchtime kick-off. The Gunners have won just one of their last five outings in the top flight, and have dropped to fourth in the table as a consequence.

Still only five points behind leaders Liverpool, successive top flight defeats against West Ham and Fulham, plus an FA Cup exit at the hands of Jurgen Klopp's men, have massively dented momentum in North London. Arsenal can at least take some heart from their recent record against Saturday's opponents, however, having beaten Palace in their last three meetings.

For their part, Roy Hodgson's men have also won in one five in the Premier League, beating Brentford in their most recent top flight outing at the end of December. The Eagles are currently 14th in the table, just five points clear of the relegation zone.

But who will be available for Mikel Arteta's team selection this weekend, and who is likely to miss out? We've taken a look at Arsenal's injury list, plus their potential return dates, below...

Jurrien Timber

Arsenal's perennial long term absentee, Timber suffered a serious knee injury on the opening weekend of the campaign, and has been on the arduous road to recovery ever since. While initial estimates suggested that he would be ruled out for the season, it would appear that the Dutch defender is making good progress, and could be back much sooner than expected. He is still likely to be missing for a while longer, but the prognosis is surprisingly positive.

Fabio Vieira

Vieira underwent surgery on a groin issue late last year, and while he is progressing towards a return, it is understood that he may still be a short while away from full fitness. Speaking in a press conference earlier this month, his manager said: 'He's doing well again, but it was a surgery that required two different things to get results. Obviously, he is still a bit far from where we want him, but he needs to keep working, and hopefully, in the next few weeks, we can have him [available].'

Thomas Partey

Partey's season has been heavily disrupted by injury, and he remains sidelined at the present moment with a thigh injury that has ruled him out of the African Cup of Nations. He is expected to be back around the same time as Vieira, possibly in time for the Premier League clash against Liverpool on February 4th, but having suffered so many setbacks already, supporters will be hesitant about getting their hopes up.

Oleksandr Zinchenko

In better news, Zinchenko could be in line to make a return against Crystal Palace this weekend. The Ukrainian will still face a late assessment, but seemingly stands a much better chance of being involved than several of his injured teammates. Speaking ahead of the FA Cup defeat to Liverpool, Arteta said: 'He is progressing well. We have another training session tomorrow, and we will evaluate whether he is available or not to play and start the game.' Zinchenko missed out on that one, but should be back soon.

Gabriel Jesus

The Brazilian striker sustained a knee injury earlier this month, but has been in full training during Arsenal's warm weather training trip to Dubai in recent days, and should be in line to feature against Palace, all being well.

Mohamed Elneny

Elneny is currently away at the African Cup of Nations with Egypt. The Pharoahs survived a major scare in their group stage opener, relying on a late Mohamed Salah penalty to rescue a 2-2 draw against the unfancied Mozambique.

Takehiro Tomiyasu

The Japanese international is on duty at the Asian Cup, but did not make an appearance during his side's 4-2 win over Vietnam on Sunday. This was reportedly due to a lack of match fitness, rather than any new injury concerns, however.
