Kamara, Konsa, Ramsey: Aston Villa latest injury news and potential return dates ahead of Juventus clash

Aston Villa were denied a big three points in the Premier League on Sunday after relegation-threatened Crystal Palace. Thanks to a late Ross Barkley equaliser, the Villans came away with a point but Unai Emery was left to reflect on the ‘mistakes’ made, which he stressed that the players were also aware of.
Villa are currently eighth in the Premier League table, tied on 19 points with Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur, behind only on goal difference. Based on the twists and turns this season has churned out already, fans would be wise to expect more unexpected results heading into the new year.

Hide AdBefore Emery and co return to league action against Chelsea, they must prepare to take on Juventus in their next Champions League clash. Ahead of their midweek European tussle, we’ve rounded up the latest player injury news for Aston Villa, along with potential return dates.
Jacob Ramsey
Jacob Ramsey has been sidelined with a hamstring injury after being substituted off against Liverpool before the international break. The Athletic reported that he was expected to be out for ‘a few weeks’ from their report on November 11th, which likely means the Juventus clash will come too soon for the midfielder.
Boubacar Kamara
After only recently coming back from his ACL injury, Boubacar Kamara faced a further setback with a similar problem to Ramsey. The 25-year-old has also picked up a hamstring injury, and according to The Athletic report from earlier this month, initial scans showed a grade one strain, which suggested an absence of ‘a few weeks’, also similar to Ramsey.
Both Kamara and Ramsey could return in early December but it could be a race to be fit for Chelsea. It remains to be seen whether the duo will be back in time for their next Premier League match.

Ezri Konsa was ruled out of Villa’s latest clash against Crystal Palace due to a hip injury sustained with England during the international break. After returning to his club for scans, Emery confirmed that both he and Amadou Onana would miss the Palace fixture but offered some hope that the duo could be fit to face Juventus.
“They have small injuries. They have to rest and recover and each day is important. Maybe they could come back for the next match [against Juventus],” the boss said during his pre-match press conference ahead of last weekend.
Amadou Onana
Similar to Konsa, Amadou Onana also picked up an injury during the international break and was ruled out of their meeting with Palace. Sidelined with a foot problem, Emery’s comments about Konsa also apply to Onana, and he could be fit to face Juve.
