Celtic’s home shirt for the 2025/26 season appears to have leaked online ahead of its official release.

Celtic’s new home kit for the 2025/26 season appears to have been ‘leaked’ online ahead of its official launch, with the famous green and white top seemingly set to feature something a little different next season.

Footy Headlines claims to have obtained photographs of the new home shirt for next season, which is once again set to be designed by Adidas after the club announced the biggest kit manufacturing deal in Scottish football history with the German sportswear giants.

It comes after apparent images of next season’s away kit being worn by winger Jota in a photoshoot were also leaked, revealing a dark green and yellow pinstriped number will be worn as the away jersey after the summer.

What Celtic’s leaked new kit for the 2025/26 season looks like

As you might expect, the supposed leak doesn’t suggest that Celtic will be straying from the green and white hoops that have graced their jerseys since the early twentieth century, but while the basic design is as expected, there is a design tweak that’s brand new.

The green hoops now feature and underlying tartan pattern, the first time that tartan has ever been incorporated into Celtic’s kit. Back lines across the shoulders and sleeves are the only other tweak to the traditional template.

The kit design, which is apparently expected to be released later in May, remains unconfirmed and the source of the photograph of the new jersey cannot be independently verified, meaning that there is some chance that this turns out to be one of many inaccurate leaks which always emerge around this time of year. Several apparent kit leaks released by Footy Headlines in recent weeks have already been proven wrong, although many others appear to have been entirely accurate.

Assuming the leaks are correct, however, we know have a much clearer idea of what Brendan Rodgers’ side will look like as they work to defender their Scottish Premiership title over the course of the next year, both at Celtic Park and elsewhere, thanks to the images of a smiling Jota trying on an away kit for what is presumed to have been a marketing photoshoot of some form.

New Adidas deal set to make Celtic millions

The apparent leak has emerged on the same day that Celtic announced a massive extension to their kit manufacturing deal with Adidas, who took the reins from New Balance back in 2020.

Adidas and Celtic have now agreed to partner for another decade, with the ten-year extension set to keep the German manufacturer making the Bhoys’ kits until 2035, according to The Daily Record.

It is believed that the deal will be worth “well in excess” of £30m, a major windfall for the Parkhead side, and Celtic chief executive Michael Nicholson has praised the “hugely successful relationship” the club have with Adidas.

The club also agreed a three-year sponsorship extension with gambling firm Dafabet, who will continue to beat the club’s front of shirt sponsor for another three years – so kits will look pretty familiar going forward.
