We begin Tuesday's Premier League transfer rumour round-up with a report detailing Chelsea and Liverpool's apparent shared interest in Napoli playmaker Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The Georgian has been in improved form of late following a difficult patch in Naples, and according to journalist Ciro Venerato, as relayed by Area Napoli, the 23-year-old is on the radar of both the Blues and the Reds - although a transfer in the near future could be unlikely.

Speaking recently, Venerato said: 'Kvara’s renewal, at the moment, is still on the high seas: the player wants a raise, which is delaying its arrival, but he will not leave Napoli, with De Laurentiis proposing a mega salary to postpone his transfer to 2025. A release clause could also be inserted for him, as happened with Osimhen. The number 77 is followed by big clubs, such as Barcelona, Chelsea, Liverpool, and PSG.'

The 3AM Verdict: It sounds like Kvaratskhelia is set to stay in Italy for the time being, but it is understandable that both Chelsea and Liverpool are taking such a keen interest. There was a time not too long ago when the Georgian looked like one of the most exciting young creative talents in Europe, and if he can rediscover that kind of form, then he will represent a fine addition for any continental heavyweight.

Napoli eye Mavropanos

Staying with Napoli for the moment, it has been suggested that the Italian giants are keen on signing West Ham defender Konstantinos Mavropanos. According to Corriere dello Sport, the Greek centre-back was originally targeted over the summer as a potential replacement for Bayern Munich-bound Kim Min-jae. Instead, however, Napoli signed Brazilian talent Natan, and Mavropanos ended up in East London.

But so far, Natan is said to have struggled at his new club, and as such, Mavropanos ‘continues to be on the radar’ in Naples, with assertions that Napoli have ‘always liked him’.

The 3AM Verdict: It feels unlikely that West Ham will willingly sell Mavropanos any time soon. The defender cost the Hammers £17 million just a few short months ago, and has been playing a decent amount under David Moyes. If a huge offer came in, perhaps he could be prised away, but for now, Napoli may have to look elsewhere.

Gyokeres on Arsenal radar

And finally, Arsenal are said to be considering a swoop for Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres. The Swede was previously on the books at Coventry City, and has been in electric form since making the move to Portugal, scoring 32 goals in 35 matches across all competitions this season.

Indeed, his performances have reportedly caught the eye of the Gunners, with TodoFichajes claiming that the 25-year-old is a serious target in North London. At the time of writing, it is understood that Gyokeres has a release clause of around £85.6 million folded into his contract in Lisbon, and as such, Arsenal would have to spend big to sign him this summer.

The 3AM Verdict: The longer that Gyokeres maintains his imperious form, the harder it is to dismiss him as some kind of flash in the pan. The way that things are going, if it isn't Arsenal who submit a massive bid, it will certainly be somebody else. The Swede is destined for big, big things.
