As with every top team, the games keep coming thick and fast, and as such, Chelsea’s attention has now turned to the weekend’s match against Nottingham Forest. Manager Enzo Maresca‘s squad is enjoying a clean bill of health, with the only injured player being captain Reece James.
He’s been blessed with so much talent that he was able to make eleven changes to the team that made light work of Belgian side Gent. However, he is expected to revert to his usual lineup in search of a sixth consecutive win. The Italian manager is quietly building a team that can compete for big things—and aim to win the Europa Conference League.

Hide AdLast season, the Blues lost to Nottingham Forest, so they will be looking to make amends and prove that their newfound form is not just a flash in the pan.
Here is the team we expect the Chelsea manager to put out:
Goalkeeper and Defenders
Robert Sanchez was at Stamford Bridge but was given the evening off against Gent, with Filip Jorgensen in goal for the Conference League match. He is expected to return as the starting goalkeeper, as has been the case so far this season.
The defence is also expected to see some changes, with Malo Gusto returning at right-back and Marc Cucurella back at left-back. The usual duo of Wesley Fofana and Levi Colwill will return to replace Tosin Aderabioyo and Benoit Badiashile, who played in the previous match. Manager Maresca has already made it clear who his first-team players are in both the league and cup competitions.
Midfielders
The midfield is also expected to see a complete overhaul, with the big hitters returning, including club captain Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo. The return of Romeo Lavia could be particularly interesting, even though the Italian is likely to stick to the winning system that has brought three consecutive victories in the Premier League.

Forwards
There is healthy competition between Christopher Nkunku, who is now the club’s highest scorer, and Nicolas Jackson, who is not far behind. Both are pushing each other, which could be beneficial for the team. Jackson, who was also rested, is expected to start alongside the returning Jadon Sancho and Noni Madueke on the wings.
Predicted Team:
Sanchez, Gusto, Cucurella, Fofana, Colwill, Caicedo, Fernandez, Palmer, Madueke, Sancho, and Jackson.
