The five young Chelsea players that are ready to become the next superstars in Enzo Maresca's starting XI
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
Chelsea historically always have young players making their way to the first team or those who are already there, and one of Enzo Maresca’s duties will be to not only coach the current crop of senior stars but also to help young players develop their game and become the next superstars at Stamford Bridge.
So, during this international break weekend, here is a list of players who we believe are on the cusp of becoming superstars, or those already in the team but getting into that space where they will become the next big thing:

There is a reason why Roberto De Zerbi did everything possible to try and take him to Brighton last season. Some say the biggest problem Mauricio Pochettino had last season was trying to play him as a left-back. Maresca has taken him back to left centre-back, and he’s been sensational. Easily one of the best players for Chelsea this season, Colwill is already becoming the face of the club.
Tyrique George
George has had a similar path to club captain Reece James, and those in the corridors of Cobham say he has what it takes to go all the way. He’s been in and around the first team and played against Barrow as well as Servette in the Europa Conference League. There is no doubt that he’s talented, and he looks like he will go places for Chelsea in the next few seasons.
Josh Acheampong
Having joined Chelsea at the age of eight, he has worked his way through the ranks. He made his first-team debut against Tottenham at Stamford Bridge and is in and around the first team this season. Another player highly spoken about at Cobham, Acheampong is considered an absolute star in the making.
Renato Veiga
What a signing the young Portuguese is turning out to be! He’s very young and versatile, already having played right-back, left-back, and midfield. It’s easy to see in every game that he is an absolute champion who gives his all. When Chelsea decided Ben Chilwell was not going to be in the squad, they had already done their homework and found that Veiga was more than capable of filling that role.

What a signing he’s already turning out to be. Since Chelsea agreed to sign him in the summer, he’s already been called up to the Brazil team. Even Neymar has said that he’s the biggest star to come from Brazil lately, among others. He hasn’t arrived at Stamford Bridge yet, but in many ways, he is already showing that he could be the face of the club in the future.
