The Eagles could be in for a busy summer of transfer activity

It promises to be an exciting Premier League campaign for Crystal Palace. The Eagles ended last season as one of the form teams of the top flight, and were showing exactly the kind of consistency that hints towards European qualification prospects this time around.

That being said, few sides are in as much danger of losing so many of their key names this summer as Oliver Glasner’s. With Michael Olise already gone, and several others potentially set to follow, this could be a very different Palace squad to the one that finished last season so impressively.

But how will the Eagles line up next term? We’ve taken a closer look at their potential starting XI below...

Dean Henderson - GK

Ended last season strongly between the sticks for Palace, establishing himself as number one from the end of March onwards. All being well, Henderson should retain his first choice status next term.

Joachim Andersen - CB

One of the few Palace star assets who hasn’t been heavily linked with an exit in recent weeks, the Dane is a stellar talent, and who should almost certainly be at Selhurst Park next season.

Marc Guehi - CB

Contrast Andersen with Marc Guehi, however. The England international - so bright over the course of Euro 2024 - is a man in demand, but whether he actually leaves or not remains to be seen. His £70 million valuation, coupled with the fact that a number of his anticipated suitors have moved for other targets, leaves just a glimmer of hope that he might stick around.

Chadi Riad - CB

The 21-year-old Moroccan international has signed from Real Betis having previously been on the books at Barcelona, and looks to be a very exciting prospect. Riad could prove to be a very handy addition for Oliver Glasner’s side.

Daniel Munoz - RWB

Made that role out on the right flank his own last season, and will be hoping to kick on again during his first full season in England.

Adam Wharton - CM

An absolute revelation, so good that he even forced his way into England’s Euro 2024 squad. The sky is truly the limit for Wharton, and like Munoz, he will be aiming to reach new heights during his first full campaign of Premier League football.

Cheick Doucoure - CM

Injury issues have rendered Doucoure something of a forgotten man, but prior to his lengthy stint on the sidelines, the Malian was one of the Eagles’ most effective players, and should be again upon his return. Will now face competition from new signing Daichi Kamada, but the strength in depth that Glasner is looking to build is truly exciting.

Tyrick Mitchell - LWB

Finished last season in exemplary form, and arguably should have been taken to Euro 2024 as cover for the semi-fit Luke Shaw. Still only 24, the future is very, very bright for Mitchell.

Ismaila Sarr - CAM

The man tasked with replacing Michael Olise. By the time you read this article, Sarr may already have been unveiled as a Palace player, but even if he has not, it is surely only a matter of time. A tricky attacking talent with Premier League experience under his belt, Sarr should make for a canny acquisition.

Eberechi Eze - CAM

Similar to Guehi in the sense that there are still question marks over whether he will actually be a Palace player by the time the transfer window closes, hanging on the Eze should be a matter of some priority for the Eagles. Truly talismanic, with the ability to produce moments of magic from thin air, losing him too would be a hammer blow.

Jean-Philippe Mateta - ST

And finally, Mateta. Recently linked with Aston Villa, he is another name who Palace will be eager to retain over the coming weeks following his return of 19 goals in 39 outings across all competitions last season.
