Hide AdLiverpool eyeing Leicester star
It’s far from a secret that Liverpool are pushing to get a deal for Southampton’s Roméo Lavia over the line this summer. Bolstering the midfield was always Jurgen Klopp’s priority but now, things are becoming desperate following the departure of both Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to Saudi Arabia.
So while talks are very much still ongoing between the Reds and Lavia, other midfield options have appeared on the radar and one of the latest is Leicester’s Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. That’s according to Anfield Watch, who report that Liverpool are monitoring his current situation as they consider a potential move for the recently relegated star.
The 3AM verdict: Liverpool have found no luck in breaking down Southampton yet as they continue to get their offers knocked back. Surely soon the two sides will come to an agreement but in case talks collapse completely, the Reds need an alterative in place. Even if Lavia signs, it will no Liverpool no harm in having more than one new recruit in the No.6 position.
Dewsbury-Hall is very versatile and can operate pretty much anywhere in midfield so this will provide cover for several players. Whether Leicester are willing to sell up remains unclear but following their relegation, they’ve already lost a numbers of first team personnel and they’re far from in a position to reject a good offer as they prepare for life in the Championship.

Hide AdSecond goalkeeper on Man Utd radar
Manchester United have already signed André Onana to replace the long-time serving David de Gea, but there is another name on their radar as they prepare for another high stake season in the Premier League. According to CNN Turkey, the Red Devils have ‘started official attempts’ to sign Altay Bayindir from Fenerbahce this summer as they look to add to their goalkeepers’ union.
A price tag hasn’t been mentioned but Transfermarkt currently value the 25-year-old at €11 million (£9.4m). Bayindir captained his side in every match last season until he picked up a hip injury in April.
The 3AM verdict: Bayindir recently signed a contract extension with Fenerbahce so the likelihood of the club letting him leave this summer is slim, but Man United have a huge pull as a top Premier League side. They will undoubtedly be trying to push for the title this season and with Dean Henderson linked to a permanent move away, the Reds will need a suitable replacement to both play as back-up to Onana but also potentially challenge him for the No.1 spot.
Nottingham Forest consider potential Henderson alternative
Speaking of Henderson, the Man United shot-stopper remains linked to a permanent move to Nottingham Forest ahead of the new season, but talks have reportedly cooled off following complications with the deal. Now, according to Fabrizio Romano, Forest have launched an official bid for Arsenal’s Matt Turner.

Hide AdThe Gunners are currently in pole position to sign David Raya, so offloading Turner would certainly play a big part in that deal’s domino effect. Forest are looking to sign the 29-year-old on a permanent deal and talks between the clubs are said to be ‘advancing.’
The 3AM verdict: Henderson was a huge asset for Nottingham Forest during his time on loan and he will definitely be a welcome return if they can get the deal over the line. If not, they need to ensure they have other options to consider and Turner could certainly fit the bill. Plus, with just an ageing Wayne Hennessey and Ethan Horvath, who has made just 11 senior appearances for the club, Steve Cooper could really do with another option between the sticks.
