All the latest Premier League transfer news including developments at Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal

Massive results at both ends of the table saw this Premier League season take more twists and turns over the weekend, with so much still to play for across the board. More dropped points for Liverpool means it will likely be a two-horse race for the title, with Manchester City and Arsenal beating Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur respectively.

At the bottom, Everton secured their place in the top-flight after beating Brentford while Burnley took a point from Manchester United. But it is looking bleak for Sheffield United who were thumped 5-1 at Newcastle. There’s not long left of the season and teams will be planning for the summer, so here are your latest transfer rumours.

Salah decision

Liverpool are reportedly planning to keep Mohamed Salah beyond the summer amid interest from the Saudi Pro League. The Athletic’s David Ornstein reports that the club ‘fully expect’ their Egyptian winger to be part of the squad next season.

Salah was the subject of a £150million bid from Al Ittihad late last summer but Liverpool knocked it back with little time to find any kind of replacement. The 31-year-old will enter the final 12 months of his contract this summer but despite continued interest, there is no suggestion he could agitate to leave.

The report adds that the feeling among those in the Saudi Pro League is that Salah wants to stay at Liverpool another year, although that didn’t stop them from throwing their hat in the ring last summer. Should Salah stay but not sign a new contract, then he could leave as a free agent in 2025.

The 3AM Verdict: Salah has been an incredible servant for Liverpool but to risk losing him on a free transfer next year seems like a strange decision. He turns 32 this summer and has looked some way off his best in recent weeks, with the arrival of a new manager seemingly a natural point at which to move on. Liverpool’s desire might be to keep Salah but it will be interesting to see how this develops if there is another big-money bid.

Guehi future

Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi is ‘likely to leave’ Selhurst Park amid interest from top Premier League clubs. The Times reports that Manchester United and Arsenal are long-time admirers of the centre-back, who looks ready to make the step up to a team fighting for Champions League football.

Guehi has developed into one of England’s most promising young defenders since joining Palace from Chelsea in 2021, with regular football helping him earn a place in the England squad on a consistent basis. There is an acceptance that the 23-year-old will look to make the step up to a top club but Palace are thought to be holding firm on their £55m valuation.

Both United and Arsenal are eyeing defensive reinforcements in the summer, albeit the former’s need will likely be greater with Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans to leave as free agents. Mikel Arteta’s side will be in need of squad depth with domestic and European football placing a strain on the current crop.

The 3AM Verdict: Guehi is among a number of Chelsea academy graduates to have flourished away from Stamford Bridge and deserves a fresh shot to prove himself at the top level. If the England international wants to keep playing regular football then a move to Old Trafford would be most likely to provide that, given United could offload all but one of their current options in that area this summer. Arsenal would provide a more obvious route to silverware, however, given they are already challenging for major honours.

Osimhen latest

Victor Osimhen looks set to leave Napoli this summer and dreams of a move to the Premier League. La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Chelsea remain interested in the Nigerian striker, although they will likely face competition from French giants Paris Saint-Germain.

Osimhen was subject to plenty of interest last summer after his 26 goals helped Napoli to a first Serie A title in 33 years, but opted instead to remain in Naples and sign an improved deal. That contract is thought to include a release clause that will be worth over £100m.

The lack of Champions League football at Chelsea could prove an issue, with Osimhen ambitious and desperate to build on that Serie A victory. But the 25-year-old has made no secret of his love for the Premier League and is thought to be a fan of Chelsea.

The 3AM Verdict: Despite a quieter campaign of 14 league goals in 22 appearances, Osimhen remains one of the world’s best strikers and is a no-brainer for anyone who can afford him. Chelsea have spent more than £1billion in two years and so whether they can splash £100m-plus on one player remains to be seen, and PSG will provide serious competition, given they are expected to save close to £200m-per-year once Kylian Mbappe leaves.
