Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for a £30m-rated Premier League star as the Red Devils begin planning for the January transfer window.
After claiming major silverware in both of his first two seasons in charge at Old Trafford, Erik ten Hag’s squad has been boosted by the arrival of five new signings during the summer transfer window as the Red Devils hierarchy spent around £170m on Lille defender Leny Yoro, Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee, PSG midfielder Manuel Ugarte and Bayern Munich duo Mathijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui.

With Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia both struggling with injuries, The Sun have reported the 13-time Premier League champions are eyeing a move for Fulham left-back Antonee Robinson and could even make a move within the opening days of the January transfer window. The report also claims the Cottagers won’t stand in Robinson’s way if a suitable offer is received and suggests the full-back would be keen on a move to Old Trafford.
The 3AM Verdict: Robinson maybe goes a little under the radar when it comes to attack-minded full-backs in the Premier League. But his talents were once capable off attracting the attention of AC Milan and he has now proven himself in the top flight. That said, £30m seems like a lofty price, even considering how inflated the transfer market feels at this point in time.
Magpies outcast set for shock move
Newcastle United had high hopes for Jamal Lewis when they saw off interest from elsewhere to secure a £15m deal for the Norwich City left-back during the summer of 2020.
However, injuries and inconsistency has plagued the Northern Ireland international during his time on Tyneside and a loan move to Watford failed to spark any upturn in fortunes of a permanent switch to the Championship club.

Hide AdLewis has been in limbo in recent months after returning to St. James’ Park, and despite featuring during Newcastle’s pre-season campaign, never really seemed to convince Eddie Howe he should be part of his long-term plans.
Speaking of the left-back last month, Howe said: "I think we’ll see with Jamal. I’ve always really rated him and held him in high regard ever since his Norwich days when I was a really big fan of his. Working with him, a great attitude, wants to improve and he’s really benefited from his loan spell. Coming back into the group, he’s trained really well. Ultimately, a lot will depend on what he wants, if he wants to continue playing football and it might be difficult for me to guarantee him that so we’ll wait and see.”
It now seems likely Lewis will get a move away from Newcastle over the coming days after Sky Sports reported he was set for a shock move to Brazilian club Sao Paolo. The loan deal means Lewis has likely played his last game for the Magpies as his current deal comes to an end next summer.
The 3AM Verdict: Lewis looked to be a very exciting full-back prior to his move to Newcastle but, for one reason or another, it just hasn’t clicked for him on Tyneside. A fresh start is long overdue and this rather unexpected switch could do the trick.
