The latest Premier League transfer rumours, featuring news from Manchester United, Arsenal and Crystal Palace

Welcome to today’s run-through of the latest new Premier League transfer rumours. Today, we have got news from Manchester United, Arsenal and Crystal Palace. Starting in the North West, the Red Devils are being linked with a move for Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres once again.

Ruben Amorim knows the player well having worked with him in the past and needs some new faces. In this latest update, The Mirror claim United will ‘try’ and sign the attacker this month with the January transfer window now open for business.

Gyokeres, who is 26-years-old, has been prolific for Sporting Lisbon since joining them back in 2023. He has scored 70 goals in 77 games in all competitions and his current club will face a battle to keep hold of him in the future.

The Sweden international has also had spells in the past at Brighton and Hove Albion and Coventry City. The attacker fired 40 goals in 97 matches for the latter before heading over to Portugal.

The 3AM Verdict: Manchester United are crying out for more of a cutting edge up front and Gyokeres would be ideal if they managed to get him. He won’t come cheap though and they will likely have to fork out big money to try and persuade him. It has been a tough season for the Red Devils and they could do with a statement signing like him to lift the mood of the club.

Heading down to London, Arsenal are chasing down the league leaders Liverpool and could turn to the market over the coming weeks to bolster their ranks and boost their title hopes. GiveMeSport report Mikel Arteta’s side ‘could emerge’ as the frontrunners for Eintracht Frankfurt star Omar Marmoush.

The 25-year-old has surprised many so far this term with his performances in the Bundesliga. He has found the net on 18 occasions in 24 matches.

Marmoush is poised to become a man in-demand and Frankfurt won’t want to lose him just yet. Prior to his move there, he had a stint at Wolfsburg and was loaned out to FC St. Pauli and Stuttgart to get some experience under his belt and boost his development.

The 3AM Verdict: Marmoush’s goal scoring record over recent times speaks for itself. Arsenal could do with some more competition and depth in attacking areas and he wouldn’t be a bad addition if they were able to lure him to England. However, as with any player from abroad, it may take him a while to adapt to life in a new country and the Gunners could do with getting someone who would hit the ground running immediately.

Hughes has been a key player for the Eagles since moving to Selhurst Park in 2021. He has made 104 appearances altogether for the South London outfit.

The 3AM Verdict: Hughes is a tidy player and has been ever-present for Crystal Palace. It is no surprise to see other teams keeping tabs on his situation at Selhurst Park and the Eagles need to start thinking about his long-term future. It would be a shame to lose him for nothing, especially to a team in the same league.
