Nottingham Forest, Man Utd, Brighton & Newcastle headline our round-up of the biggest new Premier League transfer rumours.

The weekend is finally upon us, but that doesn’t mean that the rumour mill is going to take a break – and neither are 3 Added Minutes, so we’re back with our latest digest of all the biggest new Premier League transfer rumours, starting with a story which involves Nottingham Forest, Manchester City and Liverpool.

A report from TBR Football claims that both City and Liverpool are interested in signing Forest’s England international attacking midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White off the back of some impressive recent form – but Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are ready to fend them off and “demand a massive fee.”

Apparently it will take a colossal bid of £100m to wrest Gibbs-White away from the City Ground, not that it’s any more than reigning champions City paid for Jack Grealish a few years ago.

There could be broader interest in Gibbs-White, too, with a claim that both Newcastle United and RB Leipzig have been monitoring him, although one imagines that £100m would be a bit too rich for those teams’ blood.

The 3AM Verdict: If Forest are serious about the price tag, then we doubt that Gibbs-White moves this summer, but it’s always hard to know when we’re looking at a negotiating tactics (or just a bit of grandstanding) or when we’re watching a team telling their rivals to politely look elsewhere. Either way, the growing interest in Gibbs-White from elite sides is genuine.

Nottingham Forest & Newcastle set to lose transfer tussle

Sticking with both Nottingham Forest and Newcastle for our next story, let’s take in a tale from French outlet Foot Mercato now – they claim that both teams are among those interested in Marseille winger Luis Henrique.

The 23-year-old Brazilian has had the best season of his career under Roberto De Zerbi and has attracted attention from around Europe, with Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan all linked.

Unfortunately, it sounds as though the two Premier League teams are lagging behind in this particular race, with Inter Milan already lining up a bid expected to be worth up to €28m (£24.3m) while Bayern Munich have already made contact with Luis Henrique’s entourage. If Newcastle or Forest want to make a move, they may need to speed things up a little.

The 3AM Verdict: In truth, it will be tricky for either side to compete with Champions League regulars like Bayern Munich and Inter Milan, both of whom are in pole position to win their national championships this season. Sometimes, the competition is just too stiff, so don’t be surprised if Newcastle and Forest’s monitoring of the Marseille man proves to be futile.

Manchester United eye André Onana alternative

Manchester United goalkeeper André Onana has had a rather nightmarish week, with costly clangers against Lyon coming in the wake of a fresh barrage of criticism for his form – and it seems as though Ruben Amorim may have decided to move on.

TeamTalk claim that United have “made contact” with Brighton & Hove Albion number one Bart Verbruggen, who has started to be linked with a few different teams – Bayern Munich are keen on the Dutchman, too, while AC Milan could make a bid if Mike Maignan doesn’t agree a new contract at the San Siro.

There’s no word on how much Brighton might demand for Verbruggen or on the goalkeeper’s current thoughts about his next career move, unfortunately, but it sounds as though United are starting to put the feelers out.

The 3AM Verdict: After seeing James Trafford linked with a nominatively deterministic move to Old Trafford a few times in recent weeks, we aren’t surprised to see United broadening their search. Whether they make a formal offer for Verbruggen or not remain to be seen, but it certainly sounds as though Onana’s stint as number one is over.
