The latest Fantasy Premier League injury news with updates on Alexander Isak, Son Heung-Min, Ben White and more.

We’re just hours away from the next Fantasy Premier League deadline and there are, as always, plenty of players who have picked up knocks and strains over the last couple of weeks and who could miss out on the action over the coming weekend.

Alexander Isak, Son Heung-Min and Ben White are among the big-name players with those pesky orange and yellow triangles perched next to their names in the FPL app, but to save you the grief of trawling through all the managers’ press conferences and comments for the latest news, we’ve gathered everything you need to know in one place.

Alexander Isak

The Swedish striker’s slow start to the new season won’t be speeding up this side of the October international break – Eddie Howe has confirmed that he will miss the game against Everton thanks to a painful foot injury. He should be back in action in a couple of weeks.

He isn’t the only Newcastle United player who’s a doubt, either. Kieran Trippier is not expected to be fully fit and could miss minutes, but the latest updates we have do at least suggest that Fabian Schär and Nick Pope, who had a knee issue after last week’s draw with Manchester City, should be fine.

Son Heung-Min

The South Korean forward missed the 3-0 win over Manchester United last weekend and while he is, according to Ange Postecoglou, “pushing hard” to be available despite a hamstring issue, the Australian believes that it is “unlikely” that he features against Brighton & Hove Albion. Destiny Udogie, who limped off at half-time at Old Trafford, should be OK though.

Ben White

Mikel Arteta has made a habit of being a deeply unreliable source when it comes to his own team’s injuries of late, having teased non-existent long-term injuries ahead of last weekend’s game – but he didn’t even provide a hint of who will play at right-back with Ben White and Jurriën Timber both picking up recent injuries.

Apparently “there is a decision to make this afternoon” with Takehiro Tomiyasu also apparently closing in on a return. In essence, however, we have no idea who will take the right-sided role in Arsenal’s back four against Southampton. Martin Ødegaard remains out thanks to ankle ligament damage, with Arteta typically coy over a timeline for his return.

João Pedro

Brighton’s budget-friendly Brazilian forward has played just 19 minutes in the last three Premier League games and doesn’t look likely to get any more action this side of the international break. Fabian Hürzeler’s comments on current injuries weren’t crystal clear and some intended meaning may have been lost in translation, but it sounded pretty clear that Pedro is unlikely to feature this weekend.

Kevin de Bruyne

The Belgian maestro will miss out on a home game against Fulham courtesy of a groin injury, with Pep Guardiola confirming that he would miss out alongside Nathan Aké and long-term absentees Rodri and Oscar Bobb. Manchester City otherwise have a clean bill of health and any anxious Erling Haaland owners can breathe easy.

Jarrad Branthwaite

The towering defender only managed his first minutes of the campaign last weekend following groin surgery, but may be out once again if reports that he sustained a thigh injury in training this week prove to be true. Sean Dyche did not mention him as a potential absentee during his press conference, however.

Amadou Onana

The defensive midfielder is a surprisingly popular FPL asset thanks to a couple of early-season goals but he suffered an injury scare in midweek when he limped out of the Champions League game against Bayern Munich – as did Jacob Ramsey and Leon Bailey. The good news for Onana’s many owners is that Unai Emery only described the other two as being doubtful for this weekend’s match, meaning that Onana is presumably good to go.
