Tottenham Hotspur have not particularly struggled for goals this season, yet they are battling to finish inside the top ten. As things stand, Spurs are currently 14th in the table but have scored more goals than the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea, who are significantly out of reach of their London rivals.
Tottenham are looking to improve their forward line and have been linked with Chelsea’s Noni Madueke. Former club scout Mick Brown has backed his old side to work towards a deal for the 23-year-old this summer.
“Tottenham are one of the teams who have been looking at him, I think Aston Villa have been too. From what I hear, Tottenham believe they can tempt him to make that move because they’re prepared to offer him regular playing time,” Brown told Football Insider.
“He’ll be given the opportunity to make a name for himself and establish himself as a key player. If he can play regularly at Tottenham, there’s no reason why he can’t do that.”

Hide AdThe 3AM Verdict: Spurs have had plenty of options up front to choose from this season but Brennan Johnson is the only natural right-winger on the books. Madueke has come under fire from some Chelsea fans this season due to his limited creative output, however, he has shown flashes of what he is capable of. He started the season strong with a hat-trick against Wolves but has had a mixed run with starts since. If he is guaranteed a regular starting position with Spurs, he could unleash his full potential. However, it all boils down to how much Tottenham will need to spend, as reports of a £60 million asking price could be viewed as too steep given his hit-and-miss season.
Liverpool could ‘consider’ selling defender
Fabrizio Romano has suggested that Liverpool could opt to sell Jarell Quansah this summer. Virgil van Dijk is backed to follow Mohamed Salah with a new deal, which could also encourage Ibrahima Konate to extend his terms. The Reds are also on the market for new centre-backs, which could open the door for Quansah.
“I’ll keep an eye on Jarell Quansah because he is very good and very talented,” Romano said on the latest Here We Go Podcast. “But, I think, sometimes you want to play. So you have Virgil van Dijk and the contract. Ibrahima Konate is still there. There is interest in Dean Huijsen. Liverpool have many players in that position.
“Jarell Quansah is attracting interest from several clubs. Newcastle, from what I’m hearing, but also German clubs. That is the information I can tell you. I’m told there is also interest from the Bundesliga.

The 3AM Verdict: Quansah was reportedly suggested by Newcastle as part of a deal for Anthony Gordon last year and Liverpool flat out refused. However, things may be different now with several new targets on the radar. Quansah has impressed those around him at Liverpool, with Alexis Mac Allister praising him last year for an ‘amazing’ performance against Brighton. However, with some potential new arrivals he may be bumped further down the pecking order, having made just 10 Premier League appearances so far this season.
