The latest Wolves injury news and expected return dates ahead of the Premier League clash with Brentford.

Wolves face a tricky trip to London to take on Brentford on Saturday afternoon, and even though the Bees themselves are not in top form at the moment, they have had a better start to the season than Wolves. Brentford have lost only one of their last nine league games at home, while Wolves are winless in their last nine away league matches.

The hosts come into this game sitting 11th in the Premier League with seven points from six matches. Thomas Frank's side has made a steady, if unspectacular, start to the season, giving fans hope that the team can finish in the top half of the table—a very respectable outcome for Brentford.

For Gary O'Neil, this has been a frustrating start, as there have been games where Wolves played well but didn’t get the results. They are currently bottom of the table with just one draw from their five games, and several key players are missing.

Ahead of the game, here is the list of injured Wolves players and their expected return dates:

Craig Dawson

The veteran defender missed the defeat to Liverpool but has been spotted back in training, as reported on the club’s website. He is likely to be available for the game this weekend.

Santiago Bueno

The Uruguayan is a key part of Wolves’ plans, but he won't be available this weekend after sustaining a glute injury, confirmed by manager O'Neil: “Santi has something in his glute. I don’t know what exactly, but he was asking to come off. Let's hope he's OK, as we don’t need another injury in the back line at the moment.” He is likely to return after the international break.

Boubacar Traore

The Mali international was withdrawn during the first half of Wednesday’s Carabao Cup victory over Burnley. The extent of his injury was confirmed by the club’s medical department. Head of high-performance Phil Hayward said, “Boubacar suffered an injury to his left knee during the match on Wednesday night. Scans have shown damage to the lateral meniscus, which will require surgery.” He is not expected back until later in the season.

Medina suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury, and no return date has been set yet.

Bastien Meupiyou Menadjou

Menadjou has had a challenging start to life as a Wolves player. First, he was sent off early in his senior debut for Nantes, and now he’s suffering from a bad injury.

Yerson Mosquera

Mosquera suffered a knee injury, and even the club is unsure when he will be ready to return. This appears to be a long-term injury. Manager O'Neil said last week, “Yerson has now had all of the various assessments and scans, which unfortunately confirm injuries to the medial collateral ligament (MCL) and the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). We will be visiting specialists in the coming days to finalise the plan for surgery.”
