Arsenal and Chelsea keen on bargain £13m swoop as Liverpool plot Leeds United raid
and live on Freeview channel 276
We begin Tuesday’s Premier League transfer rumour round-up with reports from Italy detailing the battle between Arsenal and Chelsea for a new goalkeeper. According to an update from TuttoMercatoWeb, both London clubs are admirers of Brazilian stopper Bento, who is currently on the books at Athletico Paranaense.
It is understood that the 24-year-old could be available for around £12.9 million this summer, and is being heavily monitored by Inter Milan. But there is also interest from England, with the latest claims on Bento’s future suggesting that Arsenal and Chelsea are set to provide ‘fierce competition’ and have ‘started to increase the pressure’ to secure the South American’s services.

The goalkeeper has been in tremendous form of late, recording seven clean sheets in his last 14 matches, and made his debut for the Brazilian national team last month. Whether it be for Arsenal or Chelsea - both of whom could be in the market for reinforcements between the sticks - he has the potential to provide top quality cover and competition for an ambitious Premier League club.
Summerville in demand
Elsewhere, Liverpool and Newcastle United are both said to be keen on signing Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville, according to FootballTransfers. The Dutchman has been an influential figure in the Whites’ push for automatic promotion this season, scoring 17 goals and assisting a further eight.
Indeed, his performances have been enough to catch the eye of both the Reds and the Magpies, as well as AC Milan, who could swoop should Rafael Leao leave the San Siro. For their part, Leeds are eager to retain Summerville’s services, and will look to offer him a ‘bumper new deal’ if they make it back to the Premier League in the coming weeks. That being said, there are no guarantees that the 22-year-old would agree to an extension at Elland Road.
The 3AM Verdict: Losing Summerville would be a hammer blow for Leeds, regardless of which division they end up in next season. The winger, capable of playing through the centre too, has been sensational at times this term, and has played a huge part in pushing Leeds to the brink of a Premier League return. Wherever he ends up next, somebody is going to be bagging themselves an absolute gem.
Onana linked with exit

The Belgian has been frequently linked with an exit in recent times, and is understood to be a target for La Liga giants Barcelona.
The Toffees are expected to demand anywhere up to £60 million for Onana, although that fee could vary depending on when any prospective suitors choose to submit their bids. Everton continue to face considerable financial pressures, and may be forced into selling some of their most valuable assets this summer in an effort to ease the strain.
The 3AM Verdict: Given a choice, Everton would obviously much, much rather keep hold of Onana this summer, but the sad reality is that they might not have a choice. Finances are likely to play a massive role in the Toffees’ transfer window, and to that end, if they could secure £60 million for the midfielder, it might go some way towards affording them a little breathing space.
