Arsenal will be hoping to maintain their wonderful run of recent form when they face struggling Sheffield United in the Premier League on Monday night. The Gunners have now recorded six top flight wins in a row, scoring four goals or more in four of those outings. That purple patch has left them third in the table, just two points adrift of leaders Liverpool with 12 matches left to play.

For their part, Sheffield United are in dire straits. The Blades have lost four of their past five outings, and are rooted to the foot of the Premier League table having taken just 13 points from 26 games this season. The last time they faced Arsenal, at the end of October, United were beaten 5-0 by a rampant Gunners side.

But how will the two teams line up at Bramall Lane on Monday evening? We've taken a look at both of their respective team news, as well as their predicted starting XIs, below...

Arsenal Team News

Arsenal finally look to have turned a corner with regards to their injury woes, and head into Monday's match with a relatively clean bill of health. Defender Jurrien Timber is still sidelined due to the ACL injury he sustained on the opening weekend of the season, but is understood to be progressing well in his rehabilitation process. Speaking about the Dutchman this week, Mikel Arteta said: 'Jurrien is not close enough to be part of the squad on Monday.'

Elsewhere, however, there is more promising news concerning both Oleksandr Zinchenko and Takehiro Tomiyasu. The pair have both been carrying knocks in recent weeks, but are rapidly closing in on a return to first team action, as detailed by Arteta. The Gunners boss said: '[Zinchenko and Tomiyasu] are possible, but we have to wait and see, especially with the last two sessions that we have on Saturday and Sunday. If that’s the case, they might be available on Monday.'

And finally, after a lengthy absence, Thomas Partey is expected to feature in some capacity against Sheffield United on Monday evening. The Ghanaian has barely played this season, but is back in full training, and should be fit enough to be in contention. Arteta explained: 'Thomas had a session before the last game and now he’s done two consecutive sessions so he should be part of the squad on Monday.'

By comparison, Sheffield United are struggling badly with injuries as they head into Monday's clash. Long term absentees include Max Lowe, Rhys Norrington-Davies, and Chris Basham, with the trio not expected to play again this season, while there remains no indication as to when John Egan is expected back in action either.

Elsewhere, Cameron Archer is set to be sidelined until the end of March with a calf problem, while Anis Ben Slimane is suffering from a hamstring strain. Mason Holgate is still suspended following his recent sending off against Brighton and Hove Albion, and Daniel Jebbison is still recovering from illness.

There is better news where Ben Brereton Diaz and George Baldock are concerned, however. Both are back in full training, and both could feature on Monday.

Sheffield United Predicted XI
