Chelsea's dazzling new pre-match kit for 2025/26 'leaked' - and could be used in Club World Cup

Details of Chelsea’s new pre-match shirt for the 2025/26 season have allegedly been leaked ahead of launch.

Details of Chelsea’s pre-match kit for the forthcoming 2025/26 season appear to have been leaked ahead of release – and the Blues seem set to get a new Nike template kit shared with other teams.

Like other Premier League sides, Chelsea have joined in with a trend for specialised warm-up kits in place of the more traditional tracksuits, which are available for sale to fans and often feature especially unusual or colourful designs. Next season’s kit fits that pattern, even if it won’t be a shirt that’s unique to Chelsea.

Footy Headlines claim to have acquired details of the new jerseys which the players will wear as they get ready for Premier League matches next season, and which could debut as early this summer – although it’s worth noting that a previous leak of the pre-match kit from the same website appears to have turned out to be false, with social media posts showing off a prior ‘leaked’ design now deleted.

Chelsea’s new 2025/26 pre-match kit allegedly revealed

While it may be worth waiting for official confirmation before assuming that the latest ‘leak’ is accurate, the fact that the revealed kit, shown above, is remarkably similar to one believed to be set for use by Inter Milan next season may offer some corroboration.

The new kit is supposedly a dark grey-blue, with golden and white detailing resembling an astrological chart laid over the background, creating a ‘starry night sky’ effect, with a simplified version of Chelsea’s badge and the manufacturer’s logo in white over the left and right breast.

A very similar Inter Milan kit has been leaked, as well, with a darker background colour and the patterning in pale blue and turquoise. The style and detailing otherwise appear to be essentially identical.

A prior ‘leak’ suggested a wholly different kit, a white design with the words ‘CFC’ and ‘London’ inscribed across the body as a pattern. The ‘new’ kit is certainly bolder, in keeping with the tradition of pre-match kits worn by clubs like Arsenal.

New kit may be in use for Club World Cup

Footy Headlines claim that the new pre-match shirt could be used in warm-ups ahead of games in the Club World Cup in the United States this summer. The competition begins in June, and Chelsea will play group stage games against Brazilian outfit Flamengo and Tunisian side ES Tunis, as well as one other, as yet unnamed side.

Mexican club Léon had qualified into Group D alongside Chelsea, but were expelled by FIFA due to a breach of multi-club ownership rules – the team have the same owners as Pachuca, who are also involved in the tournament. FIFA rules did not permit more than one club owned by the same group or individual to compete at the same time.

Whoever they face, Chelsea are not currently expected to play matches in the tournament in a new kit. Leaked details of their home, away and third kits for the 2025/26 season have also emerged, but they are expected to use the 2024/25 kit for the Club World Cup. Manchester City, the other English team involved in the tournament, are expected to play in special limited edition home and away jerseys just for this summer.

None of the leaked kits have yet been officially unveiled by Chelsea, leading to the possibility that details are incorrect, and formal kit launches are expected to take place this summer.
