It has been a challenging return to the Premier League for Leicester City after Steve Cooper’s side have won just two of their first 11 games so far this season.
The Foxes have claimed maximum points in a home game with Bournemouth and an away day at Southampton - but have taken just one point from their last three games and head into the final international break of the calendar year sat just above the relegation zone.

Hide AdCooper’s cause has not been helped by the absence of a number of key players and he will hope to have some of those absentees back in contention when his side return to action with a tough-looking home game against Chelsea later this month. But when could the likes of Jamie Vardy, Patson Daka and Bobby De Cordova-Reid return to contention?
Jamie Vardy
The former England striker missed Sunday’s 3-0 defeat at Manchester United after suffering an injury to his lower back. The veteran frontman picked up the knock in the 1-1 draw at Ipswich Town just a week earlier and Foxes manager Cooper has already suggested he is unsure when Vardy could return to full fitness. Possible return date: Late November.
Patson Daka
The Zambia international is yet to feature this season after suffering a serious ankle injury during the summer and Cooper has already revealed he will take a cautious approach with the striker’s return. Speaking earlier this month, he said: “He had a serious injury that ruled him out for 3-4 months and we just have to be careful. It’s tempting just to throw him straight back in, but at the same time we don’t want to do that to the detriment of getting him fully fit.” Possible return date: Late November.
Bobby De Cordova-Reid
The former Fulham and Cardiff City winger has made six Premier League appearances since joining the Foxes on a free transfer during the summer. However, he has missed the recent clashes with Ipswich Town and Manchester United after picking up an Achilles injury in the EFL Cup defeat against the latter of those two clubs. De Cordova-Reid was rated as doubtful for last weekend’s visit to Old Trafford and that means he could be in line to return to contention after the international break. Possible return date: Late November.

The once-capped Poland Under-21 international is another player yet to feature this season after Cooper confirmed he had picked up a similar injury to the one suffered by Daka. However, much like the forward, a patient approach will be taken with the Pole as he enters the final stages of his recovery. Possible return date: Late November.
Ricardo Pereira
Speaking last week, Cooper confirmed the Portuguese full-back has suffered a muscle injury and is set for a lengthy spell out of action. The Foxes boss said: “Ricky is more conclusive. 'It's a serious muscle injury that will rule him out for 3-4 months, so it's a real blow for everyone, especially him, and it's a bad time, but now we need to support him with his recovery.” Possible return date: Unknown.
