Two footballing mammoths will collide at Anfield as high-flying Liverpool play host to Premier League leaders Arsenal. The top of the table clash is viewed as one of the biggest games of the season so far for Jurgen Klopp’s men who have ambitions of winning their first league title since 2020 and the second of the German’s reign.

The Reds have finished as runners-up on two occasions during Klopp’s tenure in 2019 and 2022 and will be keen to get themselves in the driving seat for the second half of the season. Similarly, Arsenal have experience of missing out on the title as runners-up and will hope that the added quality of Declan Rice and Kai Havertz can help aid the team’s efforts to lift a first title in 20 years. Liverpool have an incredible record at Anfield - losing just one of their last 46 home games and they will hope to build on that phenomenal run in this game against Arsenal.

Klopp’s men were frustrated last weekend during their dreary 0-0 draw with rivals Manchester United - but is he likely to make changes this time around? We've got all the latest team news and a predicted line-up for you below.

Liverpool team news and predicted starting XI

Injuries and suspensions are part and parcel of European football and Liverpool will have to make do without the likes of Joel Matip (ACL - out for the season), Andrew Robertson (shoulder), Stefan Bajcetic (calf), Thiago Alcantara (hip) and Ben Doak (knee).

The Reds could welcome back Alexis Mac Allister, who faces a late test to see if he is ready to play after a knee injury which kept him out of the Premier League games against Crystal Palace and Manchester United. Ryan Gravenberch is a slight doubt with a hamstring problem, but there will be no place for Diogo Jota who is still recouping some of his match fitness. The Portuguese winger hasn't played since the 1-1 draw with Manchester City back in November.

Liverpool dominated the game against Manchester United with 68 possession and 34 shots but were left frustrated in a 0-0 draw. Jurgen Klopp’s men showcased their goalscoring touch by dismantling West Ham 5-1 and the likes Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliot and Cody Gakpo will all hope to earn a starting spot after impressive performances.

Liverpool full predicted XI

Allison, Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, Konate, Tsimikas, Szoboszlai, Endo, Jones, Salah, Nunez, Diaz
