Manchester City's 2025/26 away kit for 'leaked' online as fans rave about 'beautiful' new shirt
Manchester City’s brand new away kit for the 2025/26 Premier League season appears to have leaked online, with pictures from a promotional campaign appearing on social media ahead of the official release.
City have already launched their home kit for the coming campaign with its distinctive and atypical white sash design, while further leaks of their eye-gouging third kit have provoked an appropriately horrified reaction online, but this is the first time we’ve seen proper images of the new away jersey – and it’s drawing warm reviews from fans.

The photos above, which appear to come from an upcoming marketing campaign for the new shirt, were picked up by Fanzonetbmir and posted to their social media accounts on Wednesday and give us our first look at the new kit.
Mercifully, it’s blessed with a cleaner and rather more edifying design than the third kit seems set to have. Plain matte black with the sponsor, club badge and manufacturer’s logo picked out in silver, alongside a thin band of silver running around the wide collar that features on many Puma designs.
It’s a marked departure from the rather less subtle away shirt in use during the 2024/25 campaign, which featured neon yellow and blue stripes on black, and may prove to be the least controversial of City’s kits heading into the new season.
The kit won’t be worn during the Club World Cup, which gets underway in the United States on 15 June. Manchester City open their campaign against Moroccan outfit Wydad Casablanca on Wednesday 18 June, but the new black kit won’t be seen in action until pre-season friendlies get underway. A one-off set of shirts just for the Club World Cup will instead be used in the USA this summer.

Details of the kit’s release are not yet available but with promo images leaking, it’s likely not long before the shirt goes on sale – and it may prove popular, with plenty of supporters apparently keen on the new kit. Responses to the leaks on social media include fans describing it as “one of the most beautiful jerseys I’ve ever seen” and one of the “top five kits [Manchester City] have ever had.”
There were some dissenting voices – mostly those who disliked the wide collar – but it’s generally been given a warm welcome after a relatively divisive home kit and what appears likely to be a third kit that’s distinctly challenging to look at.
Helpfully, the marketing pictures that have been leaked also give fans an idea of what the jersey will look like when worn on the streets, rather than on a player – the images show models posing in the new jersey on a side street and in what appears to be a typical Mancunian warehouse building.
That should help fans decide whether to shell out on the new shirt, which is liable to retail at a similarly steep price to the new home jerseys - which start at £85 for adults.
