The ground-breaking Man United and Juventus player exchange transfer that could electrify the summer window
When two of the world’s biggest clubs come together and do business, the whole world stops to watch. Manchester United and Juventus both certainly fall under that bracket, though both clubs have work to do after falling away in recent years.
United have not won a Premier League title in 12 years following the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson, something thought of as unthinkable after 20 years of Premier League domination. Meanwhile, Juventus have themselves gone five years without winning Serie A, following nine consecutive titles in the 2010s.

The answer could be a major swap deal, with both clubs solving a key issue in a move which would be a major talking point of the transfer window this summer.
Man United and Juventus swap deal would steal the headlines
Jadon Sancho has been a player under intense scrutiny for some time now. After his mega-money £73m move from Borussia Dortmund in 2021, Sancho was unable to fit in at United amidst a high-profile falling-out with former manager Erik ten Haag. After a recent loan spell at Chelsea did not result in a permanent transfer, the Red Devils are now faced with the difficult task of offloading the former England international permanently despite his high wage demands.
Over in Turin, Juve have their own big-name star who they may look to get off the books this summer. Douglas Luiz signed for around £42m from Aston Villa last summer but has struggled to settle into life at his new club, making just 19 Serie A appearances and not registering a single goal. After just a year, the Old Lady are prepared to cut their losses on the 27-year-old and may sanction an exit.
Juventus are keen on bringing Sancho to the club and offering him a new home in Italy, amidst rival interest from Napoli. Igor Tudor’s side could have a major ace up their sleeve in the form of Luiz.

This is in fact a deal which Juventus have already suggested. According to Fabrizio Romano, Luiz is one of three players Juve have offered as potential swap deals for Sancho.
United should take the opportunity to bring in Luiz in exchange for Sancho if it is there. A midfielder with five years’ Premier League experience, Luiz played the best football of his career so far at Villa Park. Casemiro is ageing and Manuel Ugarte was inconsistent in his first season in Manchester, so Luiz could be viewed as a great option in Ruben Amorim’s midfield.
This would truly be a win-win for both clubs. Getting Sancho off the wage bill permanently is important for United moving forward, while they would be bringing in a very useful, Premier League-proven player who could well become a starter if he rediscovers his Villa form. While for Juventus, Luiz’s transfer has not worked out and to part ways with him, while bringing in a major transfer target in the process in Sancho, would be ideal. Watch this space.
