Newcastle predicted line-up vs. Everton: Three changes made as Magpies' injury crisis deepens
and live on Freeview channel 276
Newcastle United will look to build on their stunning comeback win over West Ham United at the weekend when they take on Sean Dyche’s struggling Everton side in the Premier League on Tuesday evening – but with several new injury worries to navigate, Eddie Howe will have plenty to ponder ahead of the game at St. James’ Park.
Jamaal Lascelles, Miguel Almirón, Emil Krafth and Tino Livramento all went off with injuries during Saturday’s game while winger Anthony Gordon was shown two yellow cards and will be suspended for the game against Everton.

Goalkeeper & Defence
The worst of the bad news that soured the remarkable 4-3 win over West Ham was that captain Lascelles will be out for six to nine months after sustaining an anterior cruciate ligament injury which he initially attempted to run off – meaning that the centre-half’s season is sadly over.
His replacement on Saturday, Swedish defender Krafth, also limped off although the club have not provided any information as to whether he is likely to miss out on Tuesday. Livramento, only just back in the side after an ankle injury, appeared to aggravate the issue and was likewise withdrawn from the game. It remains unclear whether he will be able to play against Everton.

Hide AdHowe will have to hope that Kieran Trippier, who missed the West Ham game with a calf injury, is back in action – he was reportedly close to a return ahead of the weekend, and may be called upon even if not 100% fit with all the only problems along the back line. Nick Pope (shoulder) and Sven Botman (knee) remain unavailable.
Midfield
While there were plenty of injuries and defence and attack, at least Newcastle’s midfield got through Saturday’s game unscathed – although they will still have to make do without three players who are out for the long term.
Joelinton (thigh) and Lewis Miley (back) are out until May and aren’t guaranteed to feature again this season. Sandro Tonali, meanwhile, remains suspended until August for breaches of FIFA and FIGC gambling regulations, and faces the possibility of additional charges from the FA.
Forwards
The one-game suspension handed to Gordon for his double booking on Saturday will be a blow, but will at least be cushioned by the return to form of Harvey Barnes, who hit a brace to help win the game and is likely to be handed just his third Premier League start of the season in midweek.

Hide AdIt’s also possible that Paraguayan right-winger Almirón will be absent as he appeared to take a knock to his knee during the West Ham match, but the club have not provided a prognosis and there is no reliable information available as to whether he is likely to feature. Striker Callum Wilson (pectoral tendon) is not expected to be back until mid-May.
