The latest Wolves injury news ahead of their next Premier League encounter

Wolves are currently sat in 17th place in the Premier League table. They are positioned two points above the relegation zone as they look to avoid relegation to the Championship.

Vitor Pereira was chosen as their manager to replace Gary O’Neil earlier this winter. The Midlands outfit have 13 fixtures left to play this season.

They lost 2-1 away at Liverpool last time out. Matheus Cunha got their goal at Anfield but they weren’t able to find an equaliser in the end.

Wolves defensive and midfield issues

Yerson Mosquera - out. He has been out with a long-term knee injury and it has been a frustrating campaign for him so far. Former boss Gary O’Neil said back in October: “It’s really early days, and I don’t want to put a definitive time scale on it, but everything went very well with the surgery. Over the next days and weeks, we’ll start to really map out what the rehab looks like.” Expected return date: 01/06/2025.

Sam Johnstone - out. The goalkeeper was left out against Liverpool and replaced by Jose Sa, with Dan Bentley on the bench. Pereira said: “Sam felt something, but it’s not serious.” Expected return date: 22/06/2025.

Emmanuel Agbadou - doubt. He went off against the Reds and is now a doubt. Pereira said: “Another lesson that we must learn is when we feel something, it’s important to go out of the game at the right time, and not to force it because now we got an injury, and if he spoke with us at HT, maybe we would do a change enough time.” Expected return date: Unknown.

Wolves attacking injuries

Enso Gonzalez Medina - out. He has been sidelined for the past few months and doesn’t look like returning anytime soon. O’Neil shared this update in October: “He's beginning his strength phase. He's a few months ahead of Yerson. He responded really well to the initial surgery and is back in the gym working hard, so he's right on track with where we'd expect him to be.” Expected return date: 01/06/2025.

Sasa Kalajdzic - out. The striker’s move to Molineux hasn’t worked out and he has had rotten luck on the injury front. He is currently in the treatment room with a knee issue. Expected return date: 08/03/2025.

Jorgen Strand Larsen - doubt. Pereira will have to make do without the forward for now after he sustained a thigh issue. His head coach has said: “He got an injury, a muscle injury. He will be out of the next game, and for the next one, I don’t know.” Expected return date: 22/02/2025.

Leon Chiwone - out. The youngster has ruptured his ACL and won’t be seen again in this campaign which is a shame for him. He has said: “Devastated to say that I've ruptured my ACL, and it will bring my season to an end just after coming back from injury.” Expected return date: 01/06/2025.

Hee-Chan Hwang - out. Pereira has revealed that Hwang has picked up a problem with his thigh: “Hee-Chan, we’ll see what happens. I hope it’s not serious. It was [his] hamstring, and in a conversation with me, he said he didn’t feel anything serious. We will see. We must wait two days and then see.” Expected return date: Unknown.
