Brighton & Hove Albion take on Sheffield United in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon as the Seagulls look to put a five-game winless streak in league football behind them.

Roberto de Zerbi's men have enjoyed morale-boosting wins against a beleaguered Ajax side in recent weeks but haven't picked up three points in the league since a 3-1 win over Bournemouth back in September - but the visit of the top tier's bottom-placed side should give Brighton a chance to put that bad run to bed, even if the Blades will be buoyed by picking up their first win of the Premier League season last week against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Brighton have a few fresh injury doubts after their 2-0 win in Amsterdam on Thursday evening, with three key players leaving the field with knocks - we've pulled together all the latest updates on their condition and the rest of the team news below, as well as providing our best guess at a predicted XI for Sunday's game.

Goalkeeper & Defence

Ecuadorian wing-back Pervis Estupiñán limped off just 12 minutes after making his comeback from injury against Ajax, but still has a chance of playing against Sheffield United, with De Zerbi suggesting the injury was "not so important". Nevertheless there has been no confirmation of his condition at the time of writing, so he may be limited to a role on the bench.

Lewis Dunk is also a doubt, with the English international defender being withdrawn at half-time with an apparent groin problem. Again, the damage is not feared to be severe, but he may be rested for the game against the Blades unless Brighton are convinced that he wouldn't risk further injury by playing. Tariq Lamptey will definitely miss out, and isn't expected to return from injury until after the forthcoming international break.

In goal, Bart Verbruggen has started the last couple of games and seems likely to continue ahead of Jason Steele after keeping a clean sheet against Ajax.

Midfield

The third and final injury victim from Thursday's Europa League game was James Milner - the veteran utility man limped off after just eight minutes against Ajax after taking a knock. He is expected to make the squad for Sunday's game but is a doubt to start.

If the injury is more severe than feared then he will join Solly March, Julio Enciso and Jakub Moder on the sidelines - March and Enciso are long-term absentees while Moder is still gradually building back up to full match fitness following a lengthy lay-off of his own. The Pole is expected to be out for a few more weeks yet.

Forwards

Danny Welbeck remains the only injury issue up front, and the former England striker is unlikely to return for at least a couple of months following a serious muscle injury. Evan Ferguson, who came off the bench for goalscorer Ansu Fati on Thursday, looks most likely to start as the central striker given that record signing João Pedro took that role against Ajax.

Full predicted line-up vs. Sheffield United
