Brighton have had a fine start to life under Fabian Hürzeler - and they are looking to add even more creativity to their team.

Brighton & Hove Albion are one of the clubs interested in Chelsea’s £30 million signing, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. Aston Villa and Newcastle United have also shown interest, but it is Brighton who have been the most consistent.

The midfielder was linked to the Seagulls last summer, but he chose to join Chelsea, following in the footsteps of manager Enzo Maresca, who moved from Leicester City to the west London club. However, they have had contrasting fortunes. While Maresca has had a brilliant start to life at Chelsea and is enjoying success leading the team's revival, Dewsbury-Hall has had limited time on the field. This is a tough period for the midfielder, who was the standout player when Leicester were promoted to the Premier League.

Being at a top club can be a lonely place for a player like the 26-year-old, who has made only three Premier League appearances, totalling just 43 minutes. The reason he came so close to being part of the England squad is that he had match experience and was dominating in the Championship, which led to his impressive stats. Sources say Hürzeler is quite keen on Dewsbury-Hall, seeing him as an ideal player who can take the team’s attacking play to the next level. He has the ability to thrive in tight spaces, which is something the manager highly values.

This has led to the constant interest, and with Brighton aiming to return to Europe, Dewsbury-Hall could be the signing that gives them the extra push they need. There is strong belief that he would thrive under Hürzeler, who has successfully re-energised players like Kaoru Mitoma and brought Gambian Yankuba Minteh straight into the fold, making him an instant hit.

One of Hürzeler’s greatest achievements has been revitalising Danny Welbeck. For a long time, the former England striker struggled with consistent fitness, and when he was fit, he couldn’t find form. However, this season he has found both, playing with a smile on his face. Players like Dewsbury-Hall would be appreciated at clubs like Brighton, a club with a limited budget, always looking to punch above their weight and produce the next big star.

When he joined Chelsea, Dewsbury-Hall signed a long-term deal, so it would make sense for him, both for his development and career, to go somewhere where he can play, excel, and achieve something important. From there, he can decide whether to return to Chelsea or take his game elsewhere. With less than two months before the January transfer window opens, this is surely one transfer interest to keep an eye on.
