As the action gets going, we have rounded up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Premier League clubs.

Ferguson interest

Man Utd are being linked with a move for Brighton starlet Evan Ferguson.

Ferguson has been a sensation for the Seagulls, scoring four times in five games so far this season, and Fichajes are saying United are interested in striking a deal for him despite signing Rasmus Hojlund during the summer. It’s claimed United would need to pay more than £50million, and that price is likely to rise if Ferguson is to continue his good form.

Meanwhile, United have Financial Fair Play issues that could make a move of that value a little difficult to pull off.

The 3AM Verdict: It wouldn’t be a surprise if there was serious interest in Ferguson, but United are not likely candidates after spending so much to sign Hojlund. Not only that, but the Red Devils are not going to be able to spend any time soon without making sales to balance their FFP figure.

Moscardo race

Newcastle United are said to be interested in a deal to sign Corinthians youngster Gabriel Moscardo.

According to iG Esporte, the Magpies are set to continue their investment in young talents, and the soon to be 18-year-old is emerging as a talented defender. Though, he wouldn’t come cheap, with Corinthians reportedly demanding around £26million for the signing.

A deal may not be easy to pull off, either, with Chelsea also said to be interested in a deal for Moscardo, already reportedly making an approach.

The 3AM Verdict: Newcastle have been pretty bold in their attempts to sign young players, and the approach makes sense given they need to avoid consistently spending huge fees due to Financial Fair Play rules. The Magpies need to sign players cheaper and younger in the hope they become stars, and so it is possible they are considering this deal.

Toney latest

Ivan Toney continues to be linked with a move away from Brentford amid his ongoing suspension.

According to 90min, the Bees are are weighing up the future of their striker, who is said to be valued between £50million and £60million. Arsenal are being linked, and Brentford are reportedly considering signing a striker to replace Toney in January, even if Toney doesn’t leave during the winter window.

Toney is set to return from his suspension in mid-January, but Brentford could cash in if they can prove they can cope without the frontman between now and then.

The 3AM Verdict: If Brentford have a good next few months to the extent of competing in the top half, they may be wise to sell Toney for a big fee while his stock is high. Toney is much loved at the club, but from a business point of view, Brentford may have a decision to make in January.
