The End of the Premier League season is almost upon us, and so is the summer transfer window.

We are just hours away from discovering the final fate of every Premier League team, albeit we already know where the majority will end up. At this point, we have two relegation spots and Europa Conference League qualification to sort out, and the rest is just a case of shuffling the positions and the chance or teams to bag more - or indeed less - cash.

For the teams whose fate is already sealed, they will be itching to get on with their summer recruitment ahead of next season, keen to improve. That’s especialy the case for the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool, who disappointed this season, and for Arsenal who came up just short.

Here we take a look at some of the standout Premier League transfer rumours.

Mac Allister latest

We will start with Liverpool, and it seems they have already bagged their first midfield recruit.

Jurgen Klopp is in need of midfield signings this summer, and it looks like his first will be Brighton star Alexis Mac Allister. The World Cup winner has been a sensation this season, helping Brighton secure Europa League qualification, but it seems he is now headed to Anfield.

Football Insider say the deal is all-but done, with Mac Allister on course to triple his wages to around £150,000-per week.

3AM Verdict: This one seems to make sense on all levels. Liverpool need some youthful, skillful talent in midfield, and Mac Allister fits the bill. As for Mac Allister, he has spoken about his ambitions and the likelihood he will take the next step in his career this summer. Brighton are well aware of his ambitions, and they know they might need to accept a deal this summer, as long as they can get the high fee they want.

Mount deal on the cards

Manchester United are said to be chasing Chelsea star Mason Mount this summer.

Mount has played a lesser role with the Blues due to a slew of incomings at Chelsea over the last year, but he remains one of the club’s prized assets. United are said to be interested, with The Independent claiming the Red Devils are set to launch a £55million bid to land the England international this summer.

There are further reports, however, that Chelsea want as much as £85million - an amount United are not going to pay.

3AM Verdict: Mount needs to and deserves to be - playing week-in, week-out, and his creative approach might just suit United, albeit you do wonder where he fits in, given the presence of Bruno Fernandes and others. It’s likely Mount would play as a winger at Old Trafford. Ultimately, this transfer likely depends on Mount and whether he is willing to push for a move this summer, given Chelsea’s current control over the situation.

Rice update

Fabrizio Romano believes Arsenal are favourites to land West Ham star Declan Rice this summer.

He told the House of Champions Podcast: “Yes, (Ten Hag is) an admirer and I think that’s normal, but it is the same with Mikel Arteta and I still think that Arsenal are the favourites to sign Declan Rice. They have been working on that deal, it was in January when they discussed Rice internally. They’ve already had him at the top of their list for the midfield, so I’m sure Arsenal will make a bid for Declan Rice in the next weeks.”

3AM Verdict: Rice to Arsenal feels like a perfect fit given Arsenal’s need for increased quality in the heart of their midfield. Though, West Ham obviously don’t want to lose their captain, and they are right to demand a huge fee, given the level of talent and potential Rice has. This move is going to come down to the demanded fee and whether Arsenal - or another club - are willing to pay it.
