The 3 Added Minutes take on the latest transfer speculation from across the Premier League including news from Liverpool & Man Utd.

Liverpool are reportedly considering making a £50m offer for Crystal Palace and England attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze during the January transfer window.

The Reds have preferred quality over quantity since they confirmed Arne Slot would succeed Jurgen Klopp at Anfield during the summer. The former Feyenoord head coach saw just two new additions made as Juventus winger Federico Chiesa and Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili both agreed deals with the Reds - although the latter is spending the season on loan with his former club. However, things could change for Slot in January after Football Insider revealed Liverpool were considering a move for Eze as they look to add to there creative ranks.

The report also states Eze has a £68m release clause in his current contract at Selhurst Park and that will become active next summer. However, ‘sources’ have suggested Palace could be tempted into an early sale in January if they receive an offer between £50m and £60m.

The 3AM Verdict: Palace are in no need to sell one of their key players and you would imagine Steve Parish will show a similar stance to the one he showed Newcastle United as the Magpies tried to persuade the Eagles into selling March Guehi during the summer. Everyone has a price - but unless Liverpool or any other willing suitor can part with a ridiculous amount of money, Eze is likely to remain with the club.

Man Utd star has made transfer error - Dutch legend

Former AC Milan star Ruud Gullit has hit out at Joshua Zirkzee’s decision to snub an offer from the Serie A giants to join Manchester United during the summer transfer window.

The Netherlands international was identified as one of the Red Devils key transfer targets during the close season after he scored 12 goals and provided seven assists in 37 appearances in all competitions for Bologna last season. A reported £36m deal was concluded as the 13-time Premier League champions saw off competition from Milan to capture Zirkzee’s signature - but the forward has gone on to score just one goal in his first nine appearances and that came on his home debut against Fulham. Former Chelsea and Newcastle United manager Gullit has insisted the ‘many problems’ at Old Trafford make it difficult to settle in and he stated Zirkzee should have remained in Italy with Milan.

Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport, Gullit said: "Zirkzee would have done better to say yes to Milan instead of moving to Manchester United in England. Now instead he is at a club that has so many problems. He's good, no doubt about that, but at United, it's hard to do well."

The 3AM verdict: Although Zirkzee has struggled to make an impact during the early stages of his time at Old Trafford, it seems far too premature to even suggest he should have accepted any offer from Milan and snub a move to the Premier League.

Arsenal snub shock Jesus offer

Brazilian club Palmeiras have reportedly ramped up interest in Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus - but have been rebuffed in their attempts to secure the former Manchester City man.

Jesus actually came through the youth system at Palmeiras and went on to score 29 goals and provide seven assists in 83 appearances after breaking into their first-team setup in 2015. His form in front of goal captured the attention of City and the talented forward made a reported £26m move to the Etihad Stadium in January 2017. After an overwhelmingly successful five-year stint with Pep Guardiola’s side, Jesus moved to Arsenal during the summer of 2022 but is yet to land a major trophy with the Gunners.

Brazilian outlet Globo have now claimed Palmeiras have contacted Arsenal in recent days to see if the Gunners would be willing to allow the forward to return to his boyhood club - but received a ‘categorical’ response from the Premier League club.

The 3AM Verdict: It seems more likely Arsenal will look to add to their forward ranks over the coming months as they aim to go one step better in their bid to claim a long-awaited Premier League title. Surely losing Jesus to his former club would not be on the agenda.
