Not long after supposed leaks revealed details of Manchester United’s new home and change shirts for the 2025/26 Premier League season, we now have some idea of what their pre-match training kit will look like.
Another alleged leak, which has been made public via Footy Headlines, shows off photographs of what’s purported to be the kit that Ruben Amorim’s Red Devils we wear while they warm up ahead of games – and it’s a continuation of the themes of their alleged new home shirt.

The photos above show fans what the new kit looks like, with its snowflake-like black and red fractal pattern reminiscent of the white and purple away jersey which has already been leaked – the two leaks seemingly supporting each other by carrying over design elements does appear to add veracity to both.
The emphasis on the red also mirrors some of the details of the supposed new home jersey, which not only features black piping and trim but also features a black and red print down the sleeves for the first time since the Nineties and the age of Eric Cantona.
Whether harking back to a rather more successful era with have any impact on United’s on-field success remains to be seen, but they should look pretty sharp as they get ready for action based on Adidas’ new design.
Not that the new kit has been met with a universally positive response – the very first social media comment in response to Footy Headlines’ post above simply described the jersey as “horrible.” There’s no pleasing some people.

We still have a wait to discover whether the leaked images of the various new kits that Manchester United will wear over the course of the 2025/26 season are genuine or not, as we don’t yet have any details about when the kits will be formally announced or made available for purchase.
With no official announcement taking place as yet, it seems likely that United won’t take to the field in next year’s kits before the end of the 2024/25 season, a common marketing practice used by many teams to drum up interest and sales before the summer.
Still, United fans who want a shirt seem set to be spoiled for choice, with a pre-match kit now revealed in addition to the expected three outfield jerseys. Other teams such as Arsenal have started warming up in pre-match kits instead of the more traditional tracksuits in recent years, and they’re often used as a chance for the kit manufacturers to experiment with some bolder designs.
This year’s pre-match kit - modelled in the photo above by Harry Maguire as he prepared for the astonishing late Europa League win over Lyon - featured black, red and blue geometric shapes but didn’t appear to become a particularly big hit with the fans. United’s next offering may not be too far off the wall, but it’s likely to win some fans who aren’t as interested in the more typical home kit, even if the one person on the socials who found it ‘horrible’ probably won’t be among the first to make a purchase.
