La Liga hidden gems who would take West Ham, Everton and Wolves to the next level
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
The season is now officially over, and Premier League clubs will already be scouring the market for new signings as the summer window comes into focus.
This season brought a mass scramble at the bottom of the table that, at one time or another, Everton, West Ham and Wolves were all involved in, with the Toffees involved until the very last game, while the other two pulled away a little earlier. All three will be desperate to avoid slipping into another basement battle next season, and new signings will be required to ensure that is the case.

Hide AdWith that in mind, we have rounded up 24 affordable La Liga players who could make an impact outside the Premier League top six that Everton, West Ham and Wolves should consider signing this summer.
Eric Garcia
The former Manchester City star could become available at a good price this summer, with Barcelona potentially allowing him to leave. Garcia has shown some defensive liabilitues during his time at the very top level, but he would make a starting defensive option for any of these sides, while his ability on the ball also allows him to play in defensive midfield.
Matt Doherty
Wolves know Doherty well, of course, and their former full-back is likely to become available this summer after a disappointing spell with Atletico Madrid. His attacking approach to the full-back position has worked in the Premier League previously - a return is likely this summer.
Alexander Sorloth
The Real Sociedad striker scored 16 times across all competitions this season, and he is not likely to come cheap should he be snapped up. The Norwegian has a Halaand-ness about him in his physicality and general approach to the game. Of course, he is nowhere near that level, but Sortloth could add something different, and he would certainly suit Sean Dyche and Everton.

Hide AdFrancis Coquelin
Villarreal could well offload the former Arsenal star this summer. The 32-year-old has struggled with injury issues over recent years, but he would still make a good depth signing for any of these clubs. Coquelin can play in defensive midfield or in a more advanced midfield role, and he has the pace to keep up with the Premier League despite his age. He would likely be a cheap signing, too.
Mouctar Diakhaby
Valencia centre-back Diakhaby would be a fine defensive signing this summer. Valencia will be impacted by receiving a lower salary limit ahead of next season, and they will likely have to offload more than one key star after narrowly avoding relegation. Diakhaby is still only 26 years of age, and he is a dominant defender who could become available for around £10million.

Gabriel Paulista
A more veteran Paulista, who is now 32 years of age, could also become available for the reasons mentioned above. At his age, Paulista would be more of a depth signing, but he could certaintly do a job in the mid-to-lower Premier League bracket, still packing plenty of quality, and particularly on the ball. His salary isn’t all that kind, but Premier League clubs will be able to afford it just fine.
Thierry Correia
Correia is not likely to be made available by Valencia, but he is destined for bigger things, still only 24 years of age. The full-back will likely cost around £20million, but he is a talented player on the ball, and he has pace to burn. He would thrive in the Premier League, where full-backs traditionally have a bit more freedom on the ball. In a pacey side like West Ham, Correia has the potential to be excellent.

Hide AdYoussef En-Nesyri
Sevilla players will be hard to sign this summer, especially given their Champions League qualification, but it’s an ageing squad in any case. One of the most attractive options will be striker En-Nesyri, who actually had a disappointing season this term, but he still managed 18 goals across all competitions. Sevilla, as a whole disappointed with the exception of winning the Europa League out of nowhere. En-Nesyri is a very dangerous player, who has pace and a fine finishing ability. He would be a great option for any of these Premier League clubs.
Javi Galan
Galan is recognised as one of the best left-backs in La Liga these days. He has been linked with a move to Barcelona for around £15million, but a club like West Ham with European football may be able to muscle in on a deal given they can afford to pay very decent wages. Galan has excellent technical ability, is able to play offensively with a wicked cross while also being defensively solid. He would be a steal for any Premier League club outside the top four, in truth.
Fran Beltran
Beltran is another under-rated player not helped by Celta’s underachieving over recent times. The 24-year-old midfielder is valued at over £10million and that value will only increase. He plays with an experience beyond his years, and it would be interesting to see how he performs in the middle of the park for a Premier League club.
Carles Aleñá
Aleñá is a player who might thrive in the bottom half of the Premier League. He is a hard-working midfielder with a fine touch having been schooled at Barcelona before joining Getafe. He is still only 25 years of age, and while he is not likely to leave Spain, he would be a fascinating depth midfielder for a bottom half Premier League club.

Hide AdEnes Unal
Somebody sign this striker! Unal had a difficult time of it at Villarreal, but he has matured into a strong player at Getafe. The Turkey international scored 15 times this season and he would suit the Premier League perfectly. He is big, strong, physical and plays with attitude. It did take him time to find his work ethic, and that’s why the Villarreal move came at the wrong time, but still only 26, he is destined to get another big move at some point. The only problem this summer is that he ruptured a ligament in his knee at the end of the season, so he will miss much of pre-season.
Diego Moreno
The Osasuna right-back is only now coming through, making 11 senior appearances for an impressive Osasuna side this season. He is only 21 years of age, but believe us when we say this lad has real potential. He is a strong full-back who gets plenty involved in attacking play, shown by his four assists for Osasuna’s B team this season.
Jon Moncayola
The 25-year-old was central to Osasuna reaching the Copa del Rey final and securing Europa Conference League football with a seventh-placed finish. He missed just one La Liga game this season, and that sums up Moncayola and his work ethic. He is an experienced player who is already attracting plenty of transfer attention around La Liga this summer.
Santiago Bueno
Girona centre-back Santi Bueno is one to watch. He is still only 24, and he is a Uruguayan defender who came through Barcelona’s youth ranks. He at a high level technically, and he doesn’t mind getting stuck in on the ground or in the air. He played the vast majority of Girona’s games this season in a solid campaign, and his future lies higher up the table.

Hide AdAleix Garcia
Sticking with Girona, Aleix Garcia is a strong option in midfield. He is a player who plays with real attitude, and there is real value here, given he is only 25 years of age, and given the fact he is only under contract for another year after extended his expiring contract by 12 months recently. Garcia works like a dog in midfield, and that’s something a number of Premier League sides could do with.
Taty Castellanos
The Girona striker is attracting attention ahead of this summer after an impressive campaign which saw him net 14 times across all competitions. The former New York City FC striker has fit in well in La Liga, and the likes of Sevilla are said to be eyeing a deal to snap him up this summer. It’s likely he will go for £15million or more if he does move on.

Sergi Darder
Darder is a player who will not likely follow Espanyol to the second division. The 29-year-old comes full of experience, having played at Lyon previously, and he is a real leader in the middle of the park, He scored seven and assisted four in a poor Espanyol side in the season just gone.
Javi Puado
Puado is another player who is likely to become available following Espanyol’s relegation. Puado was backed for big things during his Spain under-21s days, but he could do with a fresh start in a decent side. He scored nine and assisted two from out wide this season, and he could do some real damage in the Premier League, where there tends to be a bit more space on the flanks. Everton and particularly Wolves should take a look at Puado, especially with Loptegeui knowing La Liga well.

Hide AdIsi Palazon
The Rayo Vallecano is a joy to watch on the wing, and he has been key to Rayo’s success over recent years. He is under a long contract, so this would be a difficult one to pull off, but Palazon has a big output, scoring nine and assisting five this season, and he would be great in the Premier League.
Raul de Tomás
De Tomás is a funny one. He is one of those strikers who will not always put up big numbers, but he will be a nuisance from minute one to 90. He is big, bruising, physical, and for plan B, he could be a very good option for Everton or West Ham. He is 28 years of age, and he would suit the Premier League to the ground, also coming with a Real Madrid background.
Pablo Maffeo
Maffeo will be a familair name having spent time at Manchester City previously before going on to join sister club Girona. he enjoyed a good spell there before ultimately joining Mallorca. The full-back is only 25 years of age, and he would be a great back-up option for Wolves, able to play the wing-back role really well. He is an energetic player, who will get up and down the flank all day long.
Kang-in Lee
The South Korean is a highly-rated striker who was a real steal for Mallorca last summer. Valencia allowed the forward to slip through their grasp, and the Balearic side took full advantage. Lee scored six and assisted seven for Mallorca in the season just gone, and still only 22, it’s likely his future lies at a significantly higher level.

Hide AdAlvaro Odriozola
The Real Madrid star’s career has stalled since he joined Los Blancos, and it has been a real shame to see. He is a full-back with bags of talent, and he could do a job for any of these Premier League sides. Odriozola is still only 27 years of age, and he is very much available, only under contract for another year at the Santiago Bernabeu.
