We kick off Friday’s Premier League transfer rumour round-up with claims West Ham are preparing to offer a ‘huge’ new extension to reported Liverpool target Jarrod Bowen, as per Football Insider. The attacker has been linked with the Reds for quite some time now, and is under contract in East London until the summer of 2025.

With interest continuing to simmer around the 26-year-old, however, it is understood that the Hammers are ‘desperate’ to tie him down to a new deal sooner rather than later. Talks are already underway with the player, although there is no indication yet that an agreement is close.

The 3AM Verdict: It is little wonder that Bowen is so in demand, and if the Hammers can find a way of tying him down to a new contract then it can only be a good thing. In that instance, they will either keep him for the foreseeable future, or at the very least secure themselves a premium fee if and when the time comes for him to leave.

Chelsea monitoring Davies

Elsewhere, Chelsea and Manchester City have both shown interest in Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies, but the Canada international is set to be offered a new contract by the German giants, according to 90min. The 22-year-old’s current deal in Bavaria expires in 2025, but Bayern are eager to secure his long-term future at the club.

It is understood that both Chelsea and Man City, as well as Real Madrid, are being ‘kept informed’ about Davies’ ongoing situation, and could potentially look to make a move if negotiations with his current employers break down. The full-back is said to be valued upwards of £61 million.

The 3AM Verdict: At the age of 22, Davies is already one of the finest full-backs in world football. Whether Chelsea or City would be able to prise him away from Bayern remains to be seen, especially in the broader context of interest from Real Madrid, but if a deal were to be struck, either club would be nabbing themselves a serious long-term asset.

Timber in demand

And finally, scouts from Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur are all keeping tabs on Feyenoord midfielder Quinten Timber, according to 90min. The Dutchman is the twin brother of Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber, and is said to have left a ‘lasting impression’ on representatives from several clubs from the Premier League and across Europe.

The 22-year-old helped his current club to the Eredivisie title last term, and is capable of playing in a variety of roles in the centre of the park. It is also understood that Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Monaco, and Napoli are all considering moves as well.

The 3AM Verdict: Timber looks like a real talent. With three assists and a goal in seven appearances already this season, he is a creative force who looks as if he is only going to improve as he gets older. Whether he would be tempted to join his brother at the Emirates remains to be seen, but at the very least, don’t be surprised if this isn’t the last we here of Quinten Timber.
