Welcome to our daily round-up of the biggest and boldest Premier League transfer rumours currently swirling around the global sporting media – and we’ll kick things off with a story which sees several sides battling for one of Europe’s most promising young players.
Oscar Gloukh’s name will be familiar to fans of the Football Manager series, as the Israeli attacking midfielder has been one of the most exciting young players in the world for the last couple of editions, and now that virtual talent is being realised in real-life, with several top sides tracking the 20-year-old Red Bull Salzburg player.

Hide AdAccording to Caught Offside, the list of suitors includes Arsenal, Newcastle United and Aston Villa, and both player and Austrian club are prepared to listen to offers this January – but it will take a bid of around €35m (£29m) to make a deal happen.
The 3AM Verdict: Gloukh is a very highly-rated talent but that doesn’t mean a January move is likely. Both Arsenal and Villa have already spent most of their annual transfer budget, for instance – although Newcastle have the cash if they want. We’d expect to see big clubs make moves in the summer.
Three European sides in Rashford market
Let’s head across to Old Trafford for an update on the future of Marcus Rashford, whose patchy form at the start of the new season hasn’t allayed rumours that he could be on his way out of Manchester United – rumours that TeamTalk are only too happy to fan the flames of.

Paris Saint-Germain, who have been linked with the England winger for a while, are one, and they’re joined by Bayern Munich and, somewhat surprisingly, Marseille, although the report is rightly sceptical that they have the money to make that move happen. Apparently it’s “not impossible” that he leaves in January.
The 3AM Verdict: Once more, we’d be surprised to see anything happen in January, both for financial reasons and because there will likely be people at United who want to hold out hope for his form to recover for as long as possible. Next summer, with two years left on his deal, however, bets are off. Apart from the one about him going to Marseille. That’s wildly unlikely.
Seagulls to swoop for Everton star
Finally, a surprise report from Spanish outlet Fichajes, who claim that Brighton & Hove Albion are preparing to make a bid for Everton’s in-form forward Dwight McNeil – although this time nobody’s saying it could happen in January.
Apparently the former Burnley winger is one of Brighton’s “top targets for next season”, while the Seagulls are ready to make “a significant financial effort” to make a deal happen. A price tag of €30m (£25m) is mooted, although it seems as though that is guesswork rather than based on anything solid.

Hide AdThe 3AM Verdict: As always, rumours from Fichajes comes with a warning – that website has a pretty poor hit rate with its reports. We’re sceptical of this one, partly because Brighton have just invested heavily in attack and one would expect them to wait a while to see how players like Giorginio Rutter and Yankuba Minteh get on before buying even more wingers in.
