All of the latest Premier League transfer rumours, including Aston Villa, Spurs, and Brighton

We begin Friday’s Premier League transfer rumour round-up with an update on the future of Tammy Abraham. The England striker is currently on the books at AS Roma in Serie A, but could be headed towards the exit door amid simmering expectations that manager Jose Mourinho - the man who signed him - is approaching the end of his time in the Italian capital.

If Abraham does move on, it is understood that former club Chelsea are monitoring his situation, but that both Aston Villa and Brentford are also interested. In the event of the forward’s departure, he could fetch a fee of anywhere up to £45 million, according to a report from TEAMtalk.

The 3AM Verdict: Abraham is absolutely deserving of another shot at the Premier League, and you would imagine that he could make a go of things with Chelsea, Villa, or Brentford. Of that trio, the Bees would likely struggle the most to meet his valuation, but a prospective sale of Ivan Toney could go a long way towards helping in that regard.

Tottenham eye Chiesa

Elsewhere, Tottenham are said to be interested in signing Juventus star Federico Chiesa. According to CalcioMercato, the Italian international could be facing a precarious future in Turin, and is attracting the attention of Spurs and fellow Premier League high-flyers Newcastle United.

It is claimed that a fee of around £52 million could be enough to convince Juve into parting company with the attacker. Liverpool have also previously been touted as potential suitors for the 26-year-old, who boasts 42 caps for his country and has hit four goals in eight league appearances so far this term.

The 3AM Verdict: This would be a real statement of intent. Chiesa is one of the most highly-rated attacking talents in Europe, and if this is the calibre of player that Ange Postecoglou can start attracting to north London then the future will be very, very bright for Spurs indeed. That being said, whether £52 million could be better spent elsewhere - like on a new centre-forward, for instance - is a point to consider.

Brighton want Derby defender

And finally, Brighton are reportedly keen on rekindling their pursuit of Derby County defender Eiran Cashin. According to TEAMtalk, the Seagulls are eyeing a swoop for the 21-year-old Republic of Ireland youth international having previously considered a move during the summer transfer window.

As things stand, Cashin is in the final year of his contract at Pride Park, and it is suggested that the Rams could, well, cash in on him during January to avoid losing him for nothing at the end of the campaign.

The 3AM Verdict: Brighton have a real habit of picking players from relative obscurity and turning them into world beaters. By no means is League One the wilderness, but if this were any other club plotting such a move you might be forgiven for having reservations about the wisdom behind it. Not where Albion are concerned, however. If they think Cashin can make it in the top flight, who are we to question them?
