Leicester City were promoted from the Championship last year and went up along with Ipswich Town and Southampton. All three teams are currently in the relegation zone in the Premier League table.
The Foxes lost manager Enzo Maresca to Chelsea last summer and subsequently replaced him with Steve Cooper. They have since swapped bosses again and have Ruud van Nistelrooy in the dugout at the moment.

Hide AdLeicester lost 2-0 at home to Fulham last time out and are struggling for results at the moment. They are back in action this weekend with an away trip to Tottenham Hotspur as they look to return to winning ways.
In the meantime, they have the chance to bolster their ranks with some additions before the January transfer window shuts on Monday 3rd February. They also have the opportunity to let some players head out the exit door over the next couple of weeks as well if needed.
Leicester City defensive issues
Mads Hermansen - out
Leicester City’s goalkeeper has missed their last six games with a groin issue. Jakub Stolarczyk has stepped in for the Denmark international as he continues to recover. Van Nistelrooy has said: “It’s a work in progress on his rehab. He’s making small steps in the right direction at the moment. Hopefully some time next week, there can be an update on when he can be back.” Expected return date: 01/03/2025.
Ricardo Pereira - out
The full-back has been sidelined with a muscle injury and is still in the treatment room. Former manager Cooper said back in November: “It's a serious muscle injury that will rule him out for 3-4 months, so it's a real blow for everyone, especially him, and it's a bad time, but now we need to support him with his recovery.” Expected return date: 15/04/2025.

Hide AdLeicester are hoping that the midfielder can return in the coming weeks from his thigh injury which will be a boost. Van Nistelrooy said earlier this month: “He’s continuing his individual training. He’s not yet with the team. He’s pushing harder on an individual basis. Hopefully, we can welcome him to team training over the coming weeks.” Expected return date: 01/03/2025.
Issahaku Fatawu - out
The Foxes’ attacker is out for the rest of this season with a serious ACL injury which is a big blow to their survival hopes. Cooper shared this latest update back in November: “It's not good, it's a serious injury. He's had an ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) injury that is going to rule him out for the rest of the season.
"It's a real blow, first and foremost for him, being a young player and having an injury as serious as what an ACL is. Albeit, it can be quite common in sport and in particular football, but it's still a serious injury. For it to happen at a young age is a blow for him and a blow for us as well." Expected return date: 01/08/2025
