Liverpool ready stunning £59m defender raid as West Ham and Chelsea eye bargain Serie A swoop
We begin Thursday’s Premier League transfer rumour roundup with an update on Liverpool’s ongoing pursuit of Juventus defender Gleison Bremer. The Reds have been linked with the Brazilian for some time, but are meeting resistance from their Italian counterparts, who are reluctant to sell this summer.
As such, it is suggested that the Old Lady will demand around £59 million before they even consider a sale, as per Tutto Juve. The 27-year-old is under contract in Turin until 2028, with a release clause that comes into effect next summer.

Bremer is a fine talent, and the Reds do need reinforcements at the heart of defence, but whether they can find a younger, better player for less money, remains to be seen.
Chiesa in demand
Elsewhere, another Juventus player, Federico Chiesa, is said to be a target for several Premier League clubs, as per agent Stefano Caira. The Italian does not represent his compatriot, but used to work as a director at AS Roma, and is a prevalent figure in the continental game.
Speaking to CalcioNapoli24, Caira said: “He [Chiesa] is an outgoing player. The technical plans have changed and evidently the new coach does not see him among the primary players. That said, if he continues to ask for a salary higher than €6 million [£5.1 million]… I know that West Ham, Manchester United and Chelsea were following him. I guarantee you that West Ham would not even give him €6 million. Chelsea cannot do crazy things and United would go for other profiles. Napoli? Maybe it could be the signing of August 30th.”
Because Chiesa’s contract in Turin has less than a year to run, he could be signed for as little as £16.9 million in the coming weeks, or maybe even less as the window grows older. There are also claims that Chelsea in particular may look to wait things out and sign him on a free next year.

Foxes eye Ayew
And finally, Leicester City want to sign forward Jordan Ayew from Crystal Palace, with the Eagles mulling over the prospect of a sale in the coming days and weeks, according to the Evening Standard. The newly-promoted Foxes have reportedly made a formal approach for the 32-year-old, with Oliver Glasner’s side open to a deal if an attractive enough offer is tabled.
The 3AM Verdict: This could be a decent deal for both sides. Ayew would bring good Premier League experience to Leicester, while Palace could offload a squad player for a half-decent price. Certainly one that could happen in the relatively near future.
