Manchester United will head into the Goodison Park cauldron on Sunday afternoon as they face an Everton side motivated by a sense of injustice.

The Toffees have endured something of a challenging week after they were subjected to a ten-point deduction after being found guilty of breaching the Premier League's profit and sustainability regulations.

The punishment saw Everton slide into the relegation zone and only Burnley are keeping them from the bottom of the table ahead of their meeting with Erik ten Hag's side. Casemiro (thigh), Lisandro Martinez (foot), Jonny Evans (thigh), Tyrell Malacia (knee), Amad Diallo (knee) and Facundo Pellistri (knock) are all out of the game and Danish internationals Rasmus Hojlund and Christian Eriksen are both expected to miss out with thigh and knee injuries respectively.

Jadon Sancho remains sidelined after a dispute with Ten Hag earlier in the season and goalkeeper Andre Onana will be the subject of late fitness checks after he suffered an abductor strain on international duty with Cameroon.

It wasn't all bad news for the United boss as full-backs Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are both back in training and are widely expected to be available once again.
