It has become one of the most iconic scenes in cinema over the last decade and one of the most overused GIFs on social media.

The story of Jordan Belfort was expertedly directed by Martin Scorcese as Leonardo Di Caprio produced some outstanding moments in ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ - but perhaps the most memorable was recalled when he declared ‘I’m not leaving’ to a room of his employees. And yes, we have left out an expletive, 3AddedMinutes is a family show.

Now Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has stood where Leo once stood, standing in front of a crowded room, waiting to declare his intentions for his future to the employees he sold a dream. With the eyes of the likes of Ederson, Rodri and Erling Haaland on him following his side’s historic Champions League win, the former Barcelona boss has gone full-on Leo/Jordan by declaring his future lies firmly at the Etihad Stadium.

Speaking in his post-match press conference following the 1-0 win over Internazionale, Pep said: "Now people can say Manchester City have the first Champions League. But I don’t want after one Champions League to disappear. So, we have to work harder in the next few years, next season and be there. There are teams who win the Champions League after one or two seasons and disappear. We have to avoid it.”

So all focus will now go on to improving a squad that has already written its name into the history books as they look to enjoy further success.

Paris Saint-Germain pay a shock visit to the Palace

As Pep celebrates City’s first ever Champions League win, Paris Saint-Germain remain determined to secure European football’s greatest prize and the Ligue 1 giants are said to have made an initial move for one Premier League star as they look to bolster their squad.

Fresh from the departure of Argentina legend Lionel Messi, who made his exit from the Parc des Princes to a chorus of boos last month, PSG are said to have been involved in ‘discussions’ with Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha as he approaches the final fortnight of his current deal at Selhurst Park.

After making over 450 appearances over two spells with the Eagles, Zaha’s departure now seems inevitable and there has speculation linking with an eye-wateringly lucrative move to a club in Saudi Arabia. However, La Parisian has suggested Zaha could well be handed an unlikely role stepping into Lionel Messi’s shoes in the French capital when the new season gets underway in August.

Red Devils aim to get their Gun

It seems highly likely one of the stories of the summer will be Manchester United’s search for a new goalkeeper. Although there is talk over a new deal for current stopper David De Gea and an exit for Dean Henderson, there has been heavy speculation Erik ten Hag is keen to bring in a new number one before his second season in charge at Old Trafford gets underway.

Porto’s Diogo Costa has been suggested as Ten Hag’s first choice target but Italian outlet TuttoJuve has stated a shock move for Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny could be in the offing. The former Arsenal man is said to be available for around £7m and the Turin giants are reportedly open to authorising a departure during the summer transfer window. Whether or not Szczesny would be keen to return to the scene of an 8-2 hammering during his time at Arsenal remains to be seen.
