The three players Ruben Amorim is targeting to impose his style on Manchester United

The Ruben Amorim era at Manchester United is set to begin this weekend. The Portuguese coach was hired by the Red Devils due to the brand of football and the results he produced at Sporting Lisbon, where he broke the Porto-Benfica duopoly, winning the Portuguese league twice in four seasons.
At Sporting Lisbon, Amorim set up his team in a 3-4-3 formation, which requires wingbacks. Fortunately, Manchester United has a capable right wingback in Noussair Mazraoui, the summer acquisition from Bayern Munich, who has been impressive so far.

Given his age and injury record, Manchester United can no longer rely on him, and they are therefore actively searching for a left wingback. The 20-time Premier League champions have made signing a new left wing-back a priority. Ruben Amorim wants a top left-footed player capable of playing high-intensity football and is already evaluating more than three options.
Names like Alphonso Davies, Theo Hernandez, and Milos Kerkez have been mentioned in the media. Alphonso Davies’ contract with Bayern Munich expires in the summer of 2025, and the club has yet to reach an agreement on an improved deal.
Reports suggest that the Canadian wants to increase his annual salary from £11.25million to £20million, while Bayern Munich is willing to offer £14million. It is no secret that Real Madrid are interested in him, and rumours suggest he may sign a pre-contract with the Spanish giants in January. It would be tough for Manchester United to pry him away from Real Madrid, but there is no harm in trying.
Next is Hernandez, who, along with Davies, is considered one of the top five left-backs or left wing-backs in the world. Bayern Munich has reportedly placed AC Milan captain Hernandez at the top of their list to replace Davies should the Canadian leave. This indicates just how highly regarded Hernandez is. With AC Milan’s policy of selling even their top players for profit, acquiring Hernandez should not be overly difficult if Manchester United offer a competitive fee. Money for a quality talent in a project to return United to the elite level should not be an issue.

Among the three players linked to the Red Devils, Kerkez would likely come at a lower cost. The Hungarian, formerly of AC Milan, was sold to AZ Alkmaar due to the presence of Hernandez. He impressed in the Dutch league and earned a move to Bournemouth, where he has excelled so far.
Kerkez has the potential to succeed at a big club like Manchester United. The 21-year-old is incredibly quick and delivers excellent crosses when he overlaps. While he may not yet be on the level of Alphonso Davies or Theo Hernandez, Kerkez possesses the potential to reach their standard.
