Newcastle United will travel all the way down to Dorset this weekend when they play Bournemouth in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon – and they will have to work without at least six first-team players as they look to kick the campaign off with back-to-back wins.

Head coach Eddie Howe will also have to make a decision on whether or not to include veteran full-back Kieran Trippier in the squad after the England international handed in a transfer request this week – we’ve collected all of the latest updates and team news below alongside a predicted line-up. Goalkeeper & Defence
The biggest question Howe will have to answer is whether or not Trippier will travel with the squad. Having asked to leave Newcastle, the 33-year-old has been linked with a move to Everton and the club may not wish to risk an injury before a deal can be struck. Whether Trippier makes the bench or not, Tino Livramento will almost certainly start on the right.

Hide AdSchär will join Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles on the absentee list, with both centre-backs still recovering from ACL injuries sustained last season. If all progresses well, both players should return to action before the end of the year. Dan Burn will likely start at centre-back alongside either Emil Krafth or summer signing Lloyd Kelly, both of whom came on as substitutes against Southampton.
Midfield
There will be two midfielders missing at the Vitality Stadium – this will be the last match of Sandro Tonali’s 10-month suspension for breaches of the Premier League’s betting rules, which is set to be lifted on 28 August, and youngster Lewis Miley is expected to miss another month of action thanks to a foot injury.

Forwards
Callum Wilson’s injury woes continue – the experience centre-forward will miss another three weeks with a back injury and as such won’t be available to face his former club. Alexander Isak will likely continue as the number nine with summer signing William Osula starting on the bench.
Jacob Murphy and Anthony Gordon are likely to start either side of Isak once more, while the hosts could hand a debut to club record signing Evanilson, the Brazilian forward who arrived from Porto as Dominic Solanke’s replacement during the week with fellow striker Enes Ünal unavailable.
