We begin Tuesday's Premier League transfer rumour round-up with news of Tottenham and their apparent interest in Icelandic winger Albert Gudmundsson. The wide man is currently on the books at Genoa, and it is understood that Spurs are closely monitoring his progress ahead of a potential bid to lure him to north London.

According to Calciomercato, several Premier League clubs are keen, but it is Tottenham ‘in particular’ who are ‘ready to bring’ him to England, with an offer of £25.6 million potentially in the pipeline. So far this season, Gudmundsson has registered 11 goals in 24 outings across all competitions.

The 3AM Verdict: Gudmundsson is a fine player who is evidently destined for big things. Interestingly, Spurs also have established connections with Genoa given the conclusion of recent deals for the likes of Radu Dragusin and Djed Spence, and it is not unimaginable that such associations could give them the advantage in any prospective race for the winger's signature.

Guimaraes top of PSG list

Elsewhere, Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes has reportedly emerged as a priority target for French giants Paris Saint-Germain this summer. The Brazilian has been linked with the Ligue 1 outfit several times before, but according to continental football expert Jonathan Johnson, PSG's hopes of prising him away from St. James' Park have not abated in the slightest.

Speaking to Caught Offside, he said: 'Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes is a player who is on PSG’s list and they’ll certainly look at him when it comes to determining their priority targets for the summer. Guimaraes looks to be at the top of PSG’s list as I understand it at this moment in time, but that could change before the end of the season and the opening of the summer transfer window. Still, considering Newcastle’s situation, I think it’s likely that they’ll have to cash in because of Financial Fair Play and then PSG are very interested in his situation and the possibility of putting him into midfield alongside a talent like Warren Zaire-Emery.'

The 3AM Verdict: This is a frightening update for Newcastle fans, who will be desperate to keep hold of Guimaraes for as long as possible. That being said, FFP is a very real obstacle, and to that end, it may well be the case that any decision over the midfielder's future is, at least partially, taken out of the Magpies' control. If a valuable asset has to be sold, there are fewer who would fetch as much as Bruno.

Everton set for summer sales

And finally, Football Insider report that Everton could sell both Amadou Onana and Jarrad Branthwaite in the summer transfer window. Both players have impressed for the relegation-threatened Toffees in recent times, and both have been linked with a variety of high-profile suitors as a result.

With that in mind, and considering Everton's need to ease some of their persistent financial woes, it is understood that the duo could be allowed to leave Goodison Park in the coming months, with 'huge fees' expected in the event of their respective departures. Onana alone is said to be valued at upwards of £60 million.

The 3AM Verdict: It is an uncomfortable truth for Everton supporters, but the sad reality is that given the club's current predicament, sales may have to be made. In that respect, Onana and Branthwaite are two very valuable assets, and while no sane Toffee would want them to leave, their exits may be a necessary evil.
